The itching and hives you are experiencing, along with recurrent canker sores on the tongue, suggest a possible imbalance in Pitta dosha, which can manifest as skin irritations and digestive issues. In Ayurveda, these symptoms may be linked to factors such as dietary habits, stress, or environmental allergens. To address these issues, it’s essential to follow a holistic approach.

Start by incorporating cooling foods into your diet, such as cucumbers, leafy greens, and sweet fruits, while avoiding spicy, oily, and acidic foods that can aggravate Pitta. Herbal remedies like Aloe Vera, Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), and Neem can help detoxify the body, reduce inflammation, and alleviate itching. Drinking plenty of water infused with mint or coriander can also be soothing.

Additionally, incorporating calming practices such as meditation, yoga, and pranayama can help manage stress, which may contribute to your symptoms. Regularly applying a paste of sandalwood or turmeric on the affected areas may provide relief from itching and irritation.

Hello Neelu, these are symptoms of pitta aggravation in the body and chronic inflammation too. Do not drink or eat , hot & cold items together. Avoid salty, spicy foods for sometime. Also, are you constitutional? Please check blood for - CBC, ESR, CRP , Sr IgE, Sr IgM to determine hypersensitivity of the body. You can start with Tab Shaddharan 1/4 four times with warm water before food. Tab Kamdudha 2-2-2 after food with warm water. Avipattikar chutna 1 tsp mixed in warm water after dinner.

Alright, so dealing with hives and those pesky tongue “chaale” can be super frustrating, I get it. In Ayurveda, such skin and oral issues often point to an imbalance, possibly in Vata and Pitta doshas. This imbalance could be flaring up due to poor digestion or even stress. So let’s try to calm things down.

First, let’s look at your diet. Avoid spicy, acidic, and overly salty foods as they can exacerbate Pitta. Instead, go for cooling foods like cucumber, cilantro, and sweet fruits like pears. You can also try some coconut water; it’s soothing and helps cool the body.

Then, there’s digestion itself. Consider having a cup of warm water with a slice of fresh ginger about 20 minutes before meals. It might help in boosting your digestive fire, or Agni, in a balanced way. Be gentle with your stomach – small, frequent meals rather than heavy ones.

For external relief, applying coconut oil or a sandalwood paste can calm your skin when it feels like it’s going to rebel again. Just make a thin paste with sandalwood powder and a bit of water, apply, and let it dry. For your tongue, rinsing with coriander and fennel water might help ease those chaale. Just boil them together and let it cool before using.

Lastly, stress can be a sneaky enemy here, try incorporating some yoga or meditation, if you can, just 10-15 mins a day. Breathing exercises, like Pranayama, can really help calm that Vata dosha down.

Since you’ve had these symptoms for months, if there’s no relief or worsening, I suggest you talk to a healthcare professional or Ayurvedic doctor in person, just to rule out anything serious. Hope you feel better soon!
