Certainly, hair loss can be influenced by various factors, including hormonal imbalances which seems to be relevant in your situation. Ayurveda offers several approaches that may help improve hair follicles health.
Start by examining your diet, as nutrition plays a pivotal role in maintaining healthy hair. Focus on eating a balanced diet rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals. Consider including food such as dark green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and legumes. Particularly, amla (Indian gooseberry) a rich source of vitamin C, can nourish the scalp and strengthen hair follicles. You could also incorporate healthy fats like ghee or sesame oil, which are beneficial for Vata dosha, often an underlying factor in hair loss.
It’s important to maintain good scalp hygiene. Apply a gentle massage to the scalp using warm oils like coconut or bhringraj oil, these are traditional Ayurvedic remedies believed to rejuvenate hair follicles. Let the oil sit for at least an hour before washing it out with a mild Ayurvedic shampoo. Doing this once or twice a week can improve circulation and provide essential nutrients to the hair roots.
Stress can be a hidden factor in beard loss, incorporating daily practices of yoga and meditation can be beneficial in reducing stress levels and promoting overall wellness. Try to get restful sleep every night as it supports the body’s natural healing processes.
Include herbal supplements cautiously, as your current regimen might seem sensitive. Consult with your healthcare provider before adding herbs like Ashwagandha or Shatavari, which may help balance hormones.
Remember, underlying medical conditions and treatments should not be ignored. Keep in regular communication with your healthcare team about any new or persistent symptoms. While Ayurvedic practices can complement your current treatment, they should not replace professional medical advice.
