मुझे धूल, परफ्यूम और एसी से एलर्जी है। मेरी आंखों में खुजली होती है और ऊपरी नाक के रास्ते बंद हो जाते हैं। अगर यह गंभीर हो जाता है तो मुझे माइग्रेन हो जाता है। मैं ठंडे तापमान में बाहर नहीं जा सकता। मैं परामर्श लेना चाहता हूँ। कृपया मुझे यह भी बताएं कि क्या दवा पाकिस्तान में उपलब्ध होगी या नहीं क्योंकि भारत से दवा प्राप्त करना बहुत मुश्किल है। हसन खान, ACMA CGMA

For allergies and migraines as you described, it’s important to understand your body type (prakriti) since Ayurveda treats the individual rather than just problems. Here are some customized suggestions to manage the underlying imbalances that might be causing these allergies and migraines.

Firstly, your symptoms point towards a potential aggravation of Vata and possibly Kapha dosha, as dust, perfumes, and cold temperatures are known to disturb these energies in the body. To manage these, first focus on your diet and lifestyle. You might find it beneficial to consume warm, easy-to-digest foods. Include spices like turmeric, ginger, and cumin, which are known for their anti-inflammatory properties and help in balancing the doshas. Avoid cold, processed, and deep-fried foods, as they can increase Vata and Kapha.

Practicing daily nasal irrigation (or neti) can alleviate nasal blockages. Use a saline solution, this helps in cleaning allergens from the nasal passages, reduce inflammation and ultimately lessen the trigger for migraines. Perform this early morning, make sure to use warm water.

For migraines, incorporating yoga and pranayama exercises in your daily routine can be extremely beneficial. Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) calms the mind and balances doshas. Dedicate around 15 minutes daily to practice gentle breathing exercises.

In terms of medications, herbal formulations such as Haridra (Curcuma longa) and Triphala are extremely beneficial for allergies. These should be available in Pakistan, check local ayurvedic stores or pharmacies. If not, consult a local practitioner about similar available remedies. For migraines, Ashwagandha is often recommended for its adaptogenic properties.

Lastly, the environmental modifications are necessary. Avoid exposure to dust and perfumes, as much as possible. When going out in cold weather, wear warm clothing, especially around the head and neck area to protect from immediate temperature drops.

Before starting any medicines, it’s best to consult a local ayurvedic practitioner to understand your unique dosha imbalance and ensure your path to sustained relief.
