Balancing these complexities with Ayurveda can offer some relief and improvement. When it comes to PCOS, balancing the doshas, especially Kapha and Vata, is crucial. Diet plays a big role here. Focus on warm, cooked meals that are easy to digest. Include spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric to help digestion and reduce inflammation. Avoid cold, dry or raw foods which can aggravate Vata dosha causing anxiety and palpitations.
Turning to prolactin and anxiety, herbs such as ashwangandha or brahmi may be beneficial. Ashwagandha is known to help balance hormones and reduce stress. You might take one teaspoon of ashwagandha powder with warm milk, once or twice a day. Brahmi can be taken in similar fashion, and it helps in calming anxiety symptoms and supporting nervous system health. Be sure to check with a healthcare provider before adding these, as they may interact with any other medications.
For the post-fracture stiffness, practices like gentle Yoga or stretches focusing on your spinal flexibility can be beneficial. Poses such as cat-cow and bridge pose can gently strengthen and restore the natural curvature of your spine. Regular Abhyanga massage with warm sesame oil may also enhance circulation and reduce stiffness, promoting relaxation and pain relief.
Integrating pranayama like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) into your daily routine provides balance to nervous system and may soothe anxiety and palpitations. Pranayama practices helps in regulating Prana Vayu, and they would also support in lessen the sensation of something stuck in your throat.
For inflammation, consider taking triphala. It’s a great detoxifying formulation which can help clear out ama (toxins), boosting immunity and facilitating healing. Take one teaspoon with warm water before bed.
Prioritize consistency with these practices and monitor for any changes or improvements. If symptoms worsen or don’t improve, contact your physician promptly to rule out other complications.
