For dust allergy and related symptoms like breathing difficulty and a runny nose, Ayurveda focuses on balancing Kapha and Vata doshas and strengthening the respiratory system. Herbal remedies such as Sitopaladi Churna, Talisadi Churna, and Pippali can help clear mucus and improve respiratory function. Nasya therapy (application of medicated oils like Anu Taila or Shadbindu Taila in the nostrils) can help reduce nasal congestion and sensitivity to dust. Daily steam inhalation with eucalyptus or tulsi leaves can also provide relief. Strengthen your immunity with Chyawanprash and regular consumption of herbs like Tulsi and Turmeric. Avoid cold, heavy, and mucus-forming foods, and consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for a tailored approach.

Namaste Shrikant Ji,

For dust allergy and breathing difficulties, Ayurveda focuses on cleansing the respiratory channels and balancing Kapha-Pitta doshas.

Treatment: Herbal Medicines: Sitopaladi Churna: 1 tsp with honey twice a day. Haridrakhand: 1 tsp with warm milk at night. Talisadi Churna: 1/2 tsp with lukewarm water morning and evening. Nasya Therapy: Administer Anu Taila or Shadbindu Taila: 2 drops in each nostril, twice daily. Dietary Guidelines: Include: Warm soups, turmeric milk, tulsi-infused water. Avoid: Cold drinks, yogurt, and fried foods. Lifestyle: Pranayama: Practice Kapalbhati and Anulom-Vilom for 10 minutes daily. Maintain cleanliness at home and avoid exposure to dust. With consistent treatment and proper lifestyle practices, your symptoms will improve over time.

Wishing you health and peace!

Ah, the struggle with dust allergies can be pretty rough, right? When it comes to Ayurveda, it’s all about finding balance and understanding your constitution, or prakriti. Okay, let’s try tackle this. Usually, for respiratory issues like this, Kapha dosha might be playing up. But hey, we all got our unique mix of doshas, so it’s good to have a sense of your own balance.

First off, let’s talk about your diet, it plays a big role. Eating lighter, warm meals can really help reduce kapha buildup. Avoid heavy, cold, or very oily foods if you can, like dairy (deep-fried pakoras - tempting but maybe skip ‘em for now), and stick more to warm soups, clear broths, and freshly cooked veggies. Drinking warm water through the day might also help, especially with some ginger or a pinch of turmeric rockin’ your digestive fire, or agni.

Also, in Ayurveda, the neti pot comes to the rescue. Have you tried neti (nasal cleansing with saline water)? It’s brill for clearing nasal passages! Try doing it in the morning. Doesn’t take long, honestly, just a couple minutes and you’re done. But remember to keep the water warm and always sterilize equipment.

Herbal teas can be your friend too. Brew up tulsi (holy basil) tea, it’s soothing and can help open up your airways. Another herb called Yashtimadhu (we call it licorice here) is known for its soothing qualities on respiratory troubles. Best, talk to an ayurvedic doc about the right dosage and form for you tho.

And don’t forget the good ol’ steam inhalation. Just plain water is fine, or you can throw in some eucalyptus oil and inhale. It can really help with congestion.

If your condition gets severe, always better to see a doctor immediately. Be safe, take care of yourself, and I hope this gets you breathing easier. Let me know how it goes or if anything ain’t quite clear!
