Hello Sonu, To better understand your situation and provide appropriate guidance, could you share how long your periods have been irregular and whether they were irregular before marriage? Have you noticed any symptoms like excessive hair growth, acne, or sudden weight changes? Have you tried tracking your ovulation or undergone any tests to monitor follicle growth or hormone levels? Additionally, could you describe your typical diet, physical activity, and whether you are currently on any medications or treatments for PCOS or fertility? Lastly, has your partner undergone any fertility evaluations, such as a semen analysis?

HI Sonu, From an Ayurvedic perspective, PCOS is often related to an imbalance in Vata and Kapha doshas, which can disrupt hormonal cycles and lead to symptoms like delayed periods and irregular bleeding. PCOS may also be linked to Ama (toxins) accumulation and an imbalance in Agni (digestive fire), which can affect metabolism and reproductive health. To address your symptoms, Ayurvedic treatments focus on balancing Vata and Kapha, promoting healthy digestion, and rejuvenating reproductive health. Herbs like Shatavari (to support female reproductive health), Ashoka (to regulate menstrual cycles), and Dashamoola (a combination of herbs to balance hormones and reduce inflammation) may be useful. Triphala can be recommended to improve digestion and detoxify the system. Additionally, Cinnamon and Fenugreek may help regulate insulin levels and improve hormonal balance. Lifestyle changes, including regular physical activity like yoga and walking, can help balance your hormones and manage weight. A warm, easily digestible diet with a focus on whole foods, ghee, and reducing processed foods will support your Agni and overall vitality. Reducing stress through mindfulness practices, meditation, or pranayama (breathing exercises) can also help restore hormonal balance.

Sonu, for PCOS and irregular periods, a balanced approach that supports hormonal balance and detoxification may help. You can try the following products: 1. kanchanar guggulu • Dose: 1 tablet twice daily after meals 2. stri rasayana vati • Dose: 1 tab twice daily after meals Additionally, follow a light diet by including fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid heavy, oily, and processed foods. Regular exercise and stress management techniques (like yoga or meditation) can further support your overall well-being.

Sounds frustrating, I hear you. PCOS can really throw things out of sync. Let's dive into it with an Ayurvedic lens. Your delayed periods and light initial days suggest vitiation of Vata and Kapha doshas, typical in PCOS cases. Ayurveda's approach would be to balance these doshas, ensuring regular cycles and boost fertility. First off, regarding your diet, steer clear of cold foods, like ice creams or cold drinks, they aggravate Vata and Kapha. Warm, cooked meals are your best bet. Favor foods that are light, warm, and oily, like soups and stews. Add spices like ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper to your meals, they ignite agni, or your digestive fire, essential for hormonal balance. Exercise is super important. Try yoga, especially poses like Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclining Bound Angle Pose) and Janu Sirsasana (Head to Knee Forward Bend), they improve pelvic blood circulation and balance hormones. Aim for at least 30 mins daily, but listen to your body. For herbs, look into Ashwagandha and Shatavari, both are revered for balancing hormones and supporting the reproductive system. But, always check with a healthcare provider before adding new herbs to your regimen. Stress — yep, easier said than done— but it's a trigger for PCOS. Simple things like deep breathing exercises or meditation can help. Try spending 10-15 minutes daily on mindfulness activities. Lastly, a key practice is Abhyanga (oil massage). Massage yourself with warm sesame oil, especially over the abdominal area, it's grounding and pacifies Vata. Consistency is key. These things take time, so patience is everything here. However, if anything feels off or symptoms worsen definitely consult a medical professional. Always prioritize feeling grounded and healthy in your journey!
