Your digestion issues seem to be more deeply rooted than just stress, especially if you’ve been experiencing them for years. Ayurveda can offer insights into this through the lens of your dosha and agni(balance of body energies and digestive fire). It sounds like your agni might be weak, which could affect your digestion and lead to fatigue.

Firstly, it’s crucial to address your current medications—Sizopin (an antipsychotic) and Fluzak (an antidepressant) can influence digestion. Do not alter these medications without consulting your psychiatrist, but be aware they may contribute to digestive sluggishness.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, enhancing your agni is vital. Start your day with warm water with a slice of fresh ginger or a pinch of ginger powder to stimulate digestion. Also, consider incorporating cumin, coriander, and fennel into your meals; these spices are known for aiding digestive processes.

Try to eat at consistent times each day, and consume your largest meal at lunchtime when your digestive fire is strongest.

A key aspect is identifying your prakriti—Vata, Pitta, or Kapha—and eating according to your dosha. While specifics require a detailed consultation, generally, a Vata-pacifying diet (warm, moist foods) and avoiding raw or iced foods might be beneficial.

Pay attention to any foods that consistently leave you feeling heavy or bloated—consider reducing or eliminating those to see if there’s an improvement.

It’s essential to get sufficient rest to not further stress your system. Incorporate deep breathing or gentle yoga to support mental clarity and reduce fatigue.

For persistent issues, consulting with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner can offer more personalized insights. Always keep your general physician in the loop as well. Immediate or drastic changes should be avoided, strive for a balanced approach tailored to your body’s response over time.
