I am struggling a lot with acne, and it’s really wearing me down! Like, it feels like every other month I get these really bad breakouts, especially right before my periods! So I just recently found out it might be related to some hormonal imbalance I've got going on. Ugh! I went to my dermatologist, and they kinda gave me some creams and pills, but honestly, I’m a bit skeptical about all that! I’ve read about ayurvedic treatment for acne due to hormonal imbalance, but I'm not sure where to start! It all started when I hit my mid-20s. I’ve always had pretty decent skin, but then boom, outta nowhere, my face started to erupt with these crazy red pimples that hurt so much! There’s been this like cycle: clear skin, then bam — breakouts! I noticed they pop up more around my cheeks and forehead, and sometimes even on my jawline which I hear is a sign of hormonal issues! My cycles are kinda irregular too and I’ve felt more moody — could that be all connected? I’ve been trying to adjust my diet a bit, thinking that maybe an Ayurvedic treatment for acne due to hormonal imbalance might include some foods I should be eating or avoiding! I’ve cut back on dairy, which I typically love, and started drinking more water. But I'm just wondering if there are specific herbs or remedies I should include? I’ve heard things about turmeric and neem — do they really work? Sometimes, it gets so frustrating! I mean, I see my friends with clear skin and it just makes me feel worse. I've also tried some natural face masks made of yogurt and honey since people say those help, but the acne seems stubborn! I need some advice from you guys who know about ayurvedic treatment for acne due to hormonal imbalance! What has worked for you? How long does it generally take to see some changes? Is there a particular combination or method that’s most effective? I don't wanna keep dealing with this skin drama for much longer! Your mid-20s hormonal shift — especially with acne appearing around periods — aligns with some typical dosha imbalances. Here’s a tailored approach focusing on your situation.

First thing, the diet change you’ve already initiated is a good start. Dairy can sometimes aggravate Kapha and Pitta doshas, which are linked to skin conditions like acne. Increasing water intake helps with detoxification, supporting the lymphatic system and aiding hormonal balance.

Regarding herbs, turmeric and neem are excellent choices. They have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, useful for managing acne. Consider taking them in capsule form or as a paste applied to the skin. A simple paste using turmeric powder and a small amount of water can be applied to affected areas for about 15 minutes before washing off.
