is besan good for face - #23572

Owen

I am really curious if is besan good for face because I've been dealing with some dull skin and a few breakouts lately. My aunt suggested a pack with besan and turmeric, saying it's amazing for clearing up the skin. But I worry if is besan good for face, especially since I have sensitive skin that gets red easily. Last week, I tried a store-bought mask, and my face felt like it was burning after. I don’t want to make things worse. I read online that is besan good for face because it can help with exfoliating and even brings a glow. Has anyone seen real results? I’m kinda hoping this could be a solution since I don't want to keep piling on creams that just irritate me more. Also, how should I mix it? Like, should I use it alone or add something else? Any tips on how to use it without making my sensitive skin react? I really just want my skin to feel fresh!

Besan, or gram flour, is often recommended in Ayurveda for its gentle exfoliating properties and ability to clarify and brighten the skin. Traditionally, it's considered an excellent natural ingredient for various skin types, including sensitive skin, but it's always wise to consider your own unique needs and sensitivities. Here’s how besan can be beneficial for your face: 1. Exfoliation & Cleansing: Besan acts as a natural exfoliant, removing dead skin cells without being too harsh. It's particularly good for oily or acne-prone skin due to its ability to absorb oils and impurities. 2. Soothing: Combined with turmeric, besan aids in soothing irritated skin because turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. This blend can help reduce redness and calm breakouts, although the ratio of turmeric should be minimal, about a pinch, as turmeric can also irritate sensitive skin if overused. 3. Brightening: Regular use of besan might impart a natural glow, contributing to a brighter complexion over time. For sensitive skin, here’s a simple way to prepare a besan mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of besan with a pinch of turmeric and enough yogurt to make a paste. You can substitute yogurt with milk or aloe vera gel if your skin reacts to dairy. Apply it to your face, avoiding the sensitive under-eye area, for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse gently with lukewarm water. You can do this 1-2 times a week. Besan used alone with some water or rosewater for a plain mask can be effective too. If you notice any redness, irritation, or a burning sensation, it's best to stop using it immediately and wash it off thoroughly. Consider doing a patch test on a small area of skin before applying it to your whole face. It's always good to introduce any new treatment slowly, observing how your skin reacts over time.
