ED, AND PENIS SHRINKAGE due to excessive masturbation - #32603
Due to heavy masturbation for many years, my penis size has been reduced. I am not feeling any or very less erections, which are not very strong. Penis is tilted towards the left side. Please suggest to me the cure.

Doctors’ responses
When it comes to issues regarding excessive masturbation, it’s important to focus on restoring balance in your body and revitalizing your vitality through Ayurvedic principles. While it is common to have concerns about changes in penile size and strength of erections, true shrinkage from masturbation is rare, and reduced rigidity is more often linked to mental factors or lifestyle imbalance. However, Ayurveda can assist in addressing underlying factors related to sexual health, such as dosha imbalance, stress, improper agni (digestive strength) or inadequate nutrition.
Firstly, focusing on dietary adjustments can help. Consider incorporating foods that balance vata dosha, as an imbalance here often contributes to weakness and uneven energy. Include warm, nourishing foods like cooked vegetables, ghee, sesame seeds, almonds, milk, and dates in small doses. Avoid excessive caffeine, spicy foods, and highly processed meals as they may lead to further vata disturbances.
Consider taking a daily dose of Ashwagandha powder with milk. It’s known for its rejuvenating properties and can promote strength and vitality. Mix 1 teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm milk and consume it before bedtime. Another effective remedy is Shatavari, which supports male sexual health — take around 1/2 teaspoon twice a day with warm water.
Regular physical activity is crucial, but overexertion should be avoided. Gentle exercises like yoga and stretching can be highly beneficial in improving circulation. Postures like Bhujangasana (Cobra pose) and Siddhasana (Adept’s pose) can be quite calming and supportive of the reproductive system.
Focus on stress-reduction techniques such as practicing Pranayama (breathing exercises). Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) in particular helps calms the mind and balances the nervous system. Allocate about 5 to 10 minutes daily for this practice to see improvement in mental clarity and stress levels.
Keep in mind that any penile curvature like a tilt to the side typically requires evaluation by a healthcare professional to rule out conditions like Peyronie’s disease. If the penile curvature is causing discomfort or impacting sexual activity, it’s crucial to consult with a urologist or an appropriate specialist for a proper examination and possible medical treatment.
Lastly, remember hydration and adequate sleep are essential components of overall vitality. Ensure around 6-8 hours of sound sleep nightly, and maintain a steady intake of water during the day. It’s the small consistent changes in lifestyle and diet that can create a big impact in restoring balance to your body. If symptoms persist or worsen, it’s important to seek direct medical advice.
Need counseling for better outcome.
Repetitive excessive masturbation can lead, as you described, to issues like erectile dysfunction and perceived changes in penis size. This situation can often relate to imbalances in the vata dosha, which governs the nervous system and mobility, and possibly also influences kapha, which adds structure and liquidity to the body.
First, focus on grounding and balancing your vata. Begin with a diet that’s warm, nourishing, and slightly oily to counteract vata’s cold and dry qualities. You might include sesame oil, warm soups, and spices like turmeric and ginger. Avoid cold foods and beverages as they can aggravate vata.
Improve circulation and restore strength with regular Abhyanga, or self-massage with warm sesame oil. Massage gently for 15-20 minutes before bathing. This will help in nourishing the tissue systems and enhancing circulation.
Practicing Bhramari Pranayama (Bee breath) helps calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and restore balance. Incorporate it into your daily routine for 5-10 minutes.
Try Ashwagandha and Mucuna Pruriens, both of which are known in Siddha-Ayurvedic texts for enhancing sexual health and strengthening the reproductive tissues (shukra dhatu). Start with small doses and observe how your body responds.
Avoid exposure to sexually stimulating content and focus on activities that uplift and connect you with your inner self. Consider meditation to help redirect energy and bring awareness back to balance.
For the penile curvature, it is important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying causes such as Peyronie’s disease. A combined approach involving both Ayurvedic and allopathic perspectives can be beneficial.
Finally, as erectile and structural issues can indicate other health considerations, seeking the advice of a healthcare practitioner for a full evaluation is recommended.
