Sri Sri Tattva Avipattikara Churna - #34093

Chloe

I am really confused about my digestion lately. Few months ago, I started feeling bloated after every meal, even after eating, like, really light stuff. It all got worse when I visited my ayurvedic doctor who suggested trying Sri Sri Tattva Avipattikara Churna. She said it might help with my digestion issues cause it's designed for that, but honestly, I don’t see much improvement. I’m still, like, feeling discomfort, and sometimes there's this weird acidity thing going on too. I thought maybe it would help clean out my system, and I followed her advice by taking the churna regularly. I’ve been also keeping an eye on what I eat, cutting down on heavy and spicy stuff but sometimes it's hard to stick to the plan! Like, the other day I couldn’t resist that pizza! Also, there’s this whole thing where I’m not sure if I’m taking the right dosage of the Sri Sri Tattva Avipattikara Churna...Is it okay to take more if I'm still feeling bloated? I’m just puzzled if it takes longer to work or if I should be doing something differently. Has anyone else had experience with this? I really hope to find a solution soon!

Doctors' responses

It sounds like you’re having trouble finding relief from your digestive issues, which can certainly be frustrating. Avipattikara Churna, including Sri Sri Tattva’s formulation, is indeed often used in Ayurveda for managing digestive troubles, particularly those linked with acidity and indigestion. It commonly aids in balancing the Pitta dosha, but it’s important to ensure the dosage and use align with your specific needs.

Usually, adults are advised to take about 1 to 2 teaspoons of Avipattikara Churna with warm water or milk, an hour before a meal or bedtime. However, individual replacements can vary, so it’s crucial to stick to the dosage recommended by your doctor or practitioner. Adjusting the dose on your own is not ideal, since taking too much churna might exacerbate discomfort or upset your digestive balance further.

If you’ve been taking it for weeks without noticeable improvement, it might be worth reassessing. Digestive remedies like Avipattikara are not typically instant fixes for everyone and can sometimes require dietary and lifestyle adjustments alongside them to be more effective. A holistic routine—including eating meals at regular times, choosing foods that suit your constitution, and reducing any stressors—can significantly influence your digestive health.

Avoid cold drinks and heavy, greasy foods that tend to dampen agni (digestive fire). Keeping your meals warm and freshly prepared contributes, too, by easing digestion. Since you’re having trouble sometimes with keeping the plan, you might consider preparing alternatives or engaging in mindful eating exercises to enhance your relationship with food and digestion habits.

If the issues persist, or if there’s discomfort or acidity that seems to worsen, connecting back with your Ayurvedic practitioner for a review would be beneficial. They might recommend other herbal remedies or practices like yoga and meditation to aid digestion. But above all, any ongoing discomfort particularly that causes significant daily issues warrants further professional advice.
