Your digestive issues, especially around your menstrual cycle, may relate to changes in pitta dosha, which can cause sensitivity in the stomach and intestines. The use of ginger, lemon, and Himalayan salt was helpful in stimulating agni (digestive fire) and supporting your appetite, but the onset of diarrhea suggests your system needs further balance, especially during your period. To stabilize digestion, I recommend taking Bilva (Aegle marmelos) powder or Kutajarishta, an Ayurvedic remedy known for its effectiveness in easing diarrhea. Additionally, Shatavari can help balance hormones and reduce menstrual-related digestive symptoms, while Gokshura can support kidney health and may assist in managing your 5mm kidney stone. For the swelling and nerve pain, Ashwagandha oil or Mahanarayan oil applied to the abdomen and leg can provide relief. Internally, Dashmoolarishta may also help reduce inflammation and ease nerve pain. Continue staying hydrated, and avoid overly spicy or fried foods around your cycle to help maintain digestive stability.

Ah, prior to your periods you couldnt eat anything, that's kinda relatable. It’s tough when your appetite disappears like that! Getting it back with a bit of ginger, lemon, and Himalayan salt - quite clever. Ginger is known to be great for digestion and can stimulate agni, the digestive fire that Ayurveda talks about. As for the diarrhea you experienced, it's quite common for some women to have digestive troubles around their cycle. Your agni might have been a bit weaker, making it harder for your body to properly digest and absorb, leading to loose stools. The good news is, your stool is regaining shape; a sign things are stabilizing. To help tighten it up a bit and restore balance, there's a few things you might consider. First, remember to stay hydrated. But you might wanna avoid really cold drinks though, as they can dampen your digestive fire, try warm water instead. Also, simple, easily digestible foods should be on your plate until everything’s back to normal. Think of foods like well-cooked rice and maybe a bit of moong dal - super gentle on the stomach. A little roasted cumin powder sprinkled on your meals can assist as well. It’s warming and can soothe your tummy, encourage better digestion. Also, if you're open to some herbal support, a bit of trikatu churna (that’s a mix of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger) could be helpful, just a pinch with some honey, maybe once a day. Keep clear of raw veggies just for a while longer, as they’re tougher to digest. Go with well-cooked and spiced ones instead. Also, getting proper rest and managing stress will be beneficial for anyone, since it connects to our digestion through the gut-brain axis! But hey, if things don’t improve, or you feel off in any concerning way, you should definitely see your regular doc to ensure all's well. Safety first always!
