Permethrin 5% cream - Most commonly prescribed. - Apply to the entire body from neck down (including under nails, soles, genitals). - Leave on for 8–12 hours, then wash off. 🌿 Ayurvedic/Home Support (for itching relief, not cure) - Neem oil : Apply locally - Turmeric + mustard oil paste: Mild antimicrobial, reduces irritation. - Aloe vera gel: Cooling and calming for skin. 🧼 How to Control & Prevent Spread - Treat all family members at the same time (even if no symptoms). - Wash clothes, bedding, towels in hot water and dry in sunlight. - Trim nails and clean under them. - Avoid close skin contact until treatment is complete. - Itching may continue for 2–4 weeks even after mites are killed (due to allergic reaction). Warm Regards DR.ANJALI SEHRAWAT

Topical Cream Permethrin 5% Cream (Elimite / Permite / Scabper) Apply thin layer over entire body from neck down (including genitals, between fingers/toes, under nails) at bedtime. Leave on for 8–14 hours (overnight) then wash off next morning with soap. Repeat single application after 7 days (very important to kill newly hatched mites). Alternative Cream (if Permethrin not available or resistant) 2. Ivermectin 1% Cream (Soolantra) OR Crotamiton 10% Cream (Eurax) – apply similarly, repeat after 7 days. Oral Medicine (if severe / widespread / crusted scabies) Ivermectin tablets – 200 mcg/kg single dose (repeat after 7–14 days). How to Control Itching (Immediate Relief) Calamine lotion or Crotamiton cream – apply 2–3 times daily for soothing. Antihistamine (Cetirizine 10 mg or Levocetirizine 5 mg) – 1 tablet at night for 7–10 days (reduces itching). Warm water bath + pat dry (no hot water or scrubbing). Keep nails short, wash all clothes/bedding in hot water, vacuum room. Treat all household/close contacts simultaneously (even if asymptomatic) to prevent reinfection. Itching may persist 1–3 weeks after treatment (post-scabies syndrome) – normal, keep soothing. If no improvement after 2 weeks then see dermatologist (possible reinfestation or crusted scabies). Hello I get how awful scabies itching can be, especially when it’s in your private areas and keeps you up at night. But chill, you can totally get rid of scabies if you treat it the right way and stick to it. ✅ YOUR CONCERN What it is: Scabies (tiny mites having a party on your skin) Main stuff you’ll notice: * Crazy itching (gets worse when the sun goes down) * Itching around your groin area, private parts, fingers, wrists, and waist * Sometimes you’ll see small red bumps or lines What Ayurveda says: * It’s a parasite thing * Pitta + Kapha are out of whack * Dirty blood = super itchy AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT 👉Gandhak Rasayan * One tablet, twice a day after you eat * Great for scabies, itching, and cleaning up your skin 👉 Khadirarishta * Khadirarishta: 15 ml with the same amount of water, twice a day DIET AND LIFESTYLE (SUPER IMPORTANT) ❌AVOID –Meat –Eggs –Too much sugar –Fried stuff and junk food ✅INCLUDE – Light, freshly made food – Green veggies – Neem leaves (if you can handle them) –Lots of warm water Keep it Clean (DON’T SKIP THIS) * Wash your clothes, sheets, and towels in hot water * Dry them in the sun or iron them * Don’t share towels or clothes * Keep your nails short * Try not to scratch (you can get an infection) Scabies isn’t about being dirty, and you can totally cure it. Just use the cream right and don’t forget to do it again in a week. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

HELLO, Scabies is a skin infection caused by very small insects (mites) that liver inside the upper layer of the skin These mites -dig tiny tunnels in the skin -lay eggs -cause intense itching, especially at night The itching is not because of dirt alone, but because the body reacts strongly to the mites and their waste WHY DOES ITCHING INCREASE AT NIGHT?
