Hello I get why you’re worried about that heavy feeling and shortness of breath when you climb stairs. Since it’s been going on for more than 6 months, especially for someone like you (44, desk job, a bit overweight), it’s probably more than just being out of shape. It sounds like things are a little off balance with your heart, lungs, and metabolism. But don’t stress, we can fix this the natural way! WHAT AYURVEDA SAYS IS UP Your symptoms look like a Kapha-Vata thing (Avarana) messing with: * Your breathing (Prana Vayu) * Your heart and blood flow (Vyana Vayu) * Your blood and fat (Rasa & Meda Dhatu) It’s probably from: * Being overweight * Sitting too much * Not digesting well This leads to fat and gunk building up in your chest, causing: * That heavy feeling * Getting winded easily * Feeling tired * Pressure on your left side In Ayurveda, this is called Urah-Gaurav + Shwasa-krichrata. THE AYURVEDIC PLAN 👉Clear that chest congestion & get more oxygen * Arjuna Churna – ½ tsp twice a day with warm water * Pushkarmool Churna – ¼ tsp twice a day * Talisadi Churna – ½ tsp before food These should help clear your chest and make your heart and lungs work better. 👉 Burn fat & get your blood flowing * Triphala Guggulu – 2 tablets twice a day * Punarnava Mandur – 2 tablets twice a day They’ll help with congestion, water retention, and losing some fat. 👉Fix your digestion & avoid gas * Hingvashtak Churna – ½ tsp before eating * Warm water after eating This will keep gas from pushing up on your chest. WHAT TO EAT (AND NOT EAT) Eat: * Veggie soups * Moong dal * Steamed veggies * Buttermilk * Warm water Avoid: – Rice at night – Curd – Fried stuff – Baked goods – Cold drinks – Sugar – Too much salt LIFESTYLE CHANGE * Walk for 30–40 minutes every day * Don’t lie down right after eating * Sleep on your left side * Do some deep breathing (Pranayama) This is just a functional lung/heart congestion thing, not permanent damage. Ayurveda can totally turn this around! Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate
