Doctors' responses
✅ Diabetes ✅ High BP ✅ Proteinuria ✅ 1–6 months persistent swelling ✅ Mild pain This is very likely kidney-related fluid retention, not simple lifestyle swelling. Because when protein leaks in urine: → Blood albumin reduces → Fluid shifts into tissues → Swelling in feet (especially ankles) Low salt alone sometimes is not enough. 🔎 First – Important Questions Please check: 1️⃣ Is swelling worse in evening? 2️⃣ When you press your thumb on ankle for 5 seconds, does a dent stay? (pitting edema) 3️⃣ What is your latest: Creatinine value? eGFR? Urine protein report? These matter more than exercises. ⚠️ Why It’s Not Improving Possible reasons: Kidney filtration slightly reduced Albumin low BP not fully controlled Need adjustment of diuretic dose Long-standing diabetes causing nephropathy This is medical, not cosmetic swelling. 🚨 When to See Doctor Urgently Go immediately if: Swelling increases suddenly Face or eyelid swelling Urine decreases Breathlessness Weight increases >1 kg in 2–3 days 🩺 What You Should Ask Your Doctor Ask specifically: ✔ Do I need a mild diuretic? ✔ What is my serum albumin level? ✔ Is my BP medication kidney-protective (like ARB/ACE inhibitor)? ✔ Is my sugar tightly controlled? Sometimes small medication adjustment solves it. 🌿 Supportive Measures (Safe With Kidney Condition) ✔ Elevate legs above heart level 20 min, 3 times/day ✔ Walk gently (not excessive) ✔ Avoid standing long time ✔ Avoid tight socks ✔ Monitor weight daily ✔ Strict diabetes control ✔ Strict BP control ❌ Avoid Without Supervision Strong Ayurvedic diuretics like Punarnava on your own Herbal decoctions Excess fluid intake OTC “water tablets” Kidney patients must be very careful.
Thanks for giving good advice, I started taking zyrex creatinine reducer tonic last 3 months as my creatinine was 1.8 but now reduced to 1.4, also taking patanjali madhunashinivati and muktavati, any comments
