Doctors' responses
Dear Friend, Based on your symptoms — frequent hunger every 3 hours, loose but sticky stools, constant bloating, heaviness after meals, dry skin, red itchy rash on cheeks, sleep disturbance around 3 AM, and burning in the anal region when hungry — it suggests Pitta-Vata imbalance with disturbed digestive fire (Agni) and features similar to Grahani disorder described in Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya. Dosha understanding • Pitta aggravation → frequent hunger, skin rash, anal burning • Vata aggravation → bloating, disturbed sleep, dryness • Weak/irregular Agni → heaviness after meals and improper digestion Strong cooling medicines sometimes worsen bloating because they suppress digestive fire further, which is why you experienced more gas and heaviness. Ayurvedic medicines that may help (General guidance; dosage should ideally be individualized) 1️⃣ Holarrhena antidysenterica based medicine Kutajghan Vati – 1 tablet twice daily after meals. Kutaj has grahi and digestive-regulating properties and is traditionally used in Grahani and chronic loose stools. Anantam Ayurveda +1 2️⃣ Cyperus rotundus formulation Mustakarishta – 15–20 ml with equal water after meals twice daily. Musta helps improve digestion, reduce bloating, and regulate bowel movement. Lippincott Journals +1 3️⃣ Chitrakadi Vati 1 tablet before meals twice daily to improve Agni (digestive fire) and reduce heaviness. 4️⃣ Avipattikar Churna 3 g at bedtime with warm water to help regulate Pitta and acidity in the digestive tract. Lifestyle guidance Eat warm, freshly cooked, light meals at regular times. Avoid excessive spicy, fried, packaged, and very cold foods. Do not skip meals because long fasting aggravates Pitta and Vata. Try to sleep before 11 PM, as late nights worsen digestive imbalance. Since your symptoms have persisted for more than 6 months, a personalized evaluation of Prakriti, Agni, and Dosha imbalance is important before finalizing long-term medicines.
