I would not recommend starting a new supplement on your own, especially when he is already taking multiple formulations like Ashwagandharishta, Medhavatī, and Shatavari. These medicines are already working on manas (mind), medha (intellect), and vata balance, and adding another unknown combination may disturb the treatment balance and digestion (agni). — I am adding Manasmitravatak 1 tab at bedtime — and and anu taila 2-3 drops in both nostrils in morning after Steam inhalation — do meditation

Hello, It is understandable that you want to find an effective solution for your son’s overthinking and lack of focus, especially when initial treatments seem to be progressing slowly. In Ayurveda, overthinking and lack of concentration are often viewed as an imbalance of Vata Dosha (the energy of movement) affecting the Manovaha Srotas (channels of the mind). When Vata is aggravated, the mind becomes restless, leading to “Chitta-Vekshepa” (mental distractions). The medicines he is already taking Ashwagandharishta and Medha Vati are excellent “Medhya Rasayanas” (brain tonics). However, Ayurvedic treatments often take 4 to 6 weeks of consistent use to show sustainable results, as they work by nourishing the deep nervous tissues rather than providing a temporary stimulant effect. Focus Mode Pro Tablets Regarding “Focus Mode Pro” (often containing nootropics or stimulants): Safety: While these supplements often promise immediate results, taking them for a “long period” can sometimes lead to dependency or side effects like jitters, sleep disturbances, or increased anxiety, which might actually worsen overthinking. Interaction: Combining modern stimulants with Ayurvedic brain tonics can sometimes create “conflicting signals” in the nervous system. It is generally safer to stick to one system of medicine to accurately monitor progress. Prescription : Medicine: Saraswatarishtam (with Gold) This is a premium “liquid gold” tonic specifically for students and professionals. It calms the mind while sharpening intellect. Dose: 15 ml to 20 ml with an equal quantity of lukewarm water, twice daily after food. Medicine: Brahmi Ghritham Because it is a ghee-based formulation, it is believed to cross the blood-brain barrier more effectively to nourish the brain.
Dose: 1 teaspoon (5–10g) on an empty stomach in the morning, followed by a cup of warm water or milk. Summary Advice Before switching, ensure he has taken his current Patanjali medicines for at least 1 month without missing doses. Before starting the “Focus Mode Pro” tablets, it is highly recommended to consult a physician to check for any potential interactions with his current Ayurvedic regimen. Encourage a “digital detox” 1 hour before sleep and 10 minutes of “Nadi Shodhana” (alternate nostril breathing) to help stabilize the Vata Dosha.

Donot add any suppliment. Follow these lifestyle changes ??? Anulomvilom and Bhramari Pranayam will help. But do it early in the morning only. ? Donot get into any addictions. ? Donot drink tea or coffee or aerated drinks. ? Reduce screen time… No screen in darkness and 1 hour before you sleep. Consume audio form of data rather than visuals before you sleep. ?? Drink a glass of buffalo milk daily before you sleep; it will help you get a sound sleep. ?? 100 steps after both meals are must. ?? Eat only home cooked food… Avoid outside food, packed and processed food. ?? Prefer natural liquids like fruit juice, coconut water, lemon juice, kokum sharbat over packed ones. ?? Medication: ?? Add Tab. Manasmitra vatak 2 tabs at bed time. Brahmi oil Head massage daily Bala tailam Body massage daily. Your son’s symptoms—overthinking, poor focus, disturbed sleep—indicate Vata imbalance affecting Manovaha Srotas (mind channels). About “Focus Mode Pro” tablets These are modern supplements (often caffeine / nootropic based) from Wellbeing Nutrition Not classical Ayurvedic medicine Long-term safety is not well established May give temporary focus, but can increase Vata (restlessness, sleep issues) So, not ideal for long-term regular use, especially with ongoing Ayurvedic treatment. 1. Continue & optimize medicines Medhya Rasayana like: Brahmi Shankhpushpi Ashwagandha (already taking ✔) These work slow but root-cause based 2. Improve sleep (very important) 1 tsp ghee in warm milk at night Foot massage with oil before sleep Fixed sleep time 3. Mind calming routine Daily Anulom Vilom + Bhramari Limit screen time (major cause of overthinking)

be careful with adding “Focus Mode Pro” tablets. Most such supplements are proprietary mixes, and long-term safety or exact ingredients are often unclear. It’s better to optimize a clear Ayurvedic plan first before adding new products. Ayurvedic Approach (Simple & Effective) 1. Medhya Rasayana (for focus & overthinking) Brahmi churna – 1/2 tsp Morning with warm milk or water Shankhpushpi syrup – 10–15 ml Twice daily after food Calm Mind + Reduce Anxiety Ashwagandha churna – 1/2 to 1 tsp At night with warm milk (If already taking Ashwagandharishta: 15–20 ml with equal water after meals, twice daily) 3. Memory Support Tablets Medhya Vati 1 tablet twice daily after food Lifestyle (Very Important) Reduce mobile/social media (major cause of poor focus) Daily pranayama (Anulom Vilom, Bhramari) – 10–15 min Sleep: minimum 7–8 hours Study in 25–30 min focused sessions (Pomodoro method)

It is understandable that you are looking for more immediate results, especially when concentration issues are severe enough to disrupt daily tasks. When transitioning between or combining different types of supplements, safety and timing are the most important factors. Focus Mode Pro and Ayurvedic Compatibility Focus Mode Pro typically contains “nootropics” like Caffeine, L-Theanine, and Bacopa Monnieri. While many of these ingredients are safe, combining them with the potent Ayurvedic herbs your son is already taking (like Medhavati and Ashwagandharishta) requires caution: • Synergistic Effects: Both Medhavati and many focus supplements contain Brahmi (Bacopa). Taking both could lead to an excessive dose, potentially causing digestive upset or extreme drowsiness. • Stimulant Interactions: If Focus Mode Pro contains caffeine, it may counteract the calming, sleep-supporting effects of Satawari and Ashwagandharishta, potentially worsening his “light or interrupted” sleep. • Long-term Safety: Most focus supplements are designed for short-term “bursts” of productivity. -Taking them for long periods without a break can lead to a tolerance build-up or dependency, whereas Ayurvedic treatments are generally intended to balance the nervous system over time. -Ayurvedic Perspective on “Slow” Results Ayurveda often works by addressing the root cause (usually a Vata imbalance when overthinking is involved), which naturally takes longer than a stimulant-based tablet. Since he is seeing some progress, his body is responding, but the “severe” nature of his symptoms may require a dosage adjustment or a lifestyle “catalyst.” -How he takes his medicine matters. Ensure Ashwagandharishta is taken with an equal amount of lukewarm water after meals. Medhavati is often more effective when taken with fresh cow’s milk or honey. -Since his sleep is interrupted, massaging the scalp and the soles of the feet with Kshirabala Taila or Brahmi Oil before bed can help ground the “Vata” energy that causes overthinking. -Avoid foods that increase restlessness, such as excessive caffeine, very spicy foods, and preserved snacks. Introduce foods like walnuts, soaked almonds, and ghee, which nourish the Majja Dhatu (nervous system).

Is “Focus Mode Pro” Safe for Long-Term Use? The general consensus among the doctors is to exercise caution before adding this supplement to his current Ayurvedic regimen. -Stimulant Content:“Focus” supplements contain caffeine or other nootropics. This can interfere with the calming effects of herbs like Shatavari and Ashwagandharishta, potentially worsening his light or interrupted sleep. -Vata Imbalance:While these supplements may provide a temporary burst of focus, they can increase Vata (restlessness), which may lead to more overthinking in the long run. -Risk of Over-Dosing: Since he is already taking Medha Vati, adding another supplement with similar ingredients (like Brahmi) could lead to an excessive dose. Optimizing Current Ayurvedic Treatment Ayurvedic medicines often work slowly because they address the root cause of the imbalance. -Better Sleep Hygiene: Give him 1 tsp of ghee in warm milk at night and a foot massage with oil before sleep to ground his energy. -Nasal Drops (Nasya): 2-3 drops of Anu Taila in both nostrils every morning to clear the “mind channels.” -Additional Herbs: Adding Shankhpushpi Syrup (10-15 ml twice daily) for better concentration and anxiety reduction.

Hello, Avoid Focus mode pro or unknown proprietary supplements for long term use Reason= unclear composition, stimulants, depedency risk Your son already has -overthinking + poor focus + mood swings + disturbed sleep -This is mind+ nervous system imbalance (vata + rajas aggravation) -needs deeper correction, not stimulants Why current medicines feel slow? -Ashwagandharishta, Medhavati, Shatavari-> good But mild + general tonics Not enough for severe concentration + overthinking Management plan 1) Core brain tonic -Brahmi vati gold= 1 tab morning + night =improves focus, memory, reduces overthinking, works faster than medhavati 2) Nervous system stabilizer -Saraswatarishta= 15ml + equal water after dinner =calms mind, improves sleep very important for focus 3) Concentration + mental clarity -Mentat tablet= 1 tab twice daily after meals =improves attention span, supports cognitive function 4) If overthinking is high -Tagar capsule= 1 cap at night =reduces racing thoughts, helps deep sleep External therapy (very powerful) -Brahmi oil= apply on scalp before sleep =directly calms brain, improves sleep + focus Lifestyle (critical -medicines alone won’t fix) -continue meditation Add -20 min daily exercise -fixed sleep times before 11 pm Avoid -excess mobile/ social media -late night stimulation Diet -almonds soaked -cow ghee -warm milk Avoid -junk food -excess sugar -energy drinks Expected results -2 weeks= calmer mind -3-4 weeks= better focus -6-8 weeks= strong improvement If symptoms include -severe mood swings -anxiety/low mood Then combine with counselling (very effective) Problem is Not lack of focus supplements It is overactive mind+ poor sleep cycle Best solution -Calm mind-> focus improves automatically Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

Regarding the Patanjali medicines he is currently taking, it is completely normal that they are working slowly. Brain tonics, known as Medhya Rasayanas, take time to nourish the nerve tissues. However, the reason he is not seeing proper results is that oral medicines alone cannot instantly stop a hyperactive mind. In Ayurveda, overthinking and interrupted sleep are classic signs of Vata dosha trapped in the nervous channels of the mind. We must physically ground his energy to help the medicines absorb properly. ✓Ayurvedic Action Plan 1. Optimize Medhavati Dosage: 2 tablets twice a day. Time: Strictly after his lunch and dinner. Vehicle: He must take this with a cup of warm milk and half a teaspoon of pure Cow Ghee mixed in. Taking it with plain water is not enough. The ghee acts as a lipid carrier, pulling the herbs directly into the brain tissue to calm the mood swings and improve focus. 2. Nasya Therapy Usage: Put 2 drops of slightly warm Brahmi Ghrita or Anu Taila into each of his nostrils every morning on an empty stomach. 3. Adjust the Ashwagandharisht Action: Liquid fermented medicines generate natural warmth and can sometimes cause mild restlessness in sensitive individuals. If he is taking it at night, move the dose to the morning and afternoon. Do not give it to him close to bedtime, as it may be contributing to his light sleep. ✓Crucial Care Rules 1. Padabhyanga Therapy: Every single night, 10 minutes before bed, he must vigorously massage the soles of his feet with warm sesame oil for 5 minutes. This physical action pulls the excess, restless energy away from his head downward, stopping the overthinking loop and ensuring he gets deep, uninterrupted sleep. 2. Since his digestion is good and he already practices meditation, the missing link is sleep hygiene. Ensure he has a strict screen ban one hour before sleep to allow his brain to naturally power down without artificial blue light stimulation. Regards, Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma
