Doctor told me that l am prediabetic with hba1c of 5.8 . I'm 51 year old male with height 156cm and weight 55 kg . My problem is peripheral neuropathy ( Slight numbness under both feet only) l don't have any other illness.

Hello Savinu, It sounds like you're experiencing early signs of diabetes with peripheral neuropathy, which may be linked to imbalances in the Vata dosha, affecting nerve function and circulation. With an HbA1c of 5.8, it's important to manage your blood sugar levels to prevent further complications. Ayurvedic treatments like the use of herbs such as Bitter Gourd, Fenugreek, and Turmeric, along with dietary changes to balance blood sugar, may help. Additionally, improving circulation through regular exercise and stress management can support nerve health. Have you had any other tests, such as blood sugar levels or kidney function tests, or have you noticed any other symptoms like increased thirst, fatigue, or changes in your vision?

I want to know about Anixety

I have Anixety related issues. Heart palpitations Muscle pain Dizziness Please suggest me some good medicine or doctor to consult

For managing anxiety-related symptoms such as heart palpitations, muscle pain, and dizziness, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach that includes herbal medicines, lifestyle practices, and stress management techniques. In Ayurvedic terms, anxiety is often linked to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs the nervous system and can cause symptoms like palpitations and tension when aggravated. To soothe Vata, Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is one of the primary herbs recommended for anxiety and stress relief due to its adaptogenic properties, which help the body manage stress and promote relaxation. Taking 500 mg of Ashwagandha twice daily with warm milk or water can reduce palpitations and improve overall resilience to stress. Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), another herb known for its calming effects on the nervous system, can help reduce dizziness and mental tension. Brahmi powder (1/2 teaspoon) with warm water in the morning is recommended, or it may be taken in capsule form. Alongside herbal remedies, Ayurveda emphasizes Abhyanga (self-oil massage) with warm sesame or ashwagandha oil to relieve muscle pain and calm the nervous system, best practiced daily before a warm bath. Incorporating Pranayama (breathing exercises) and gentle Yoga poses such as Shavasana (Corpse Pose) or Balasana (Child’s Pose) can also ease anxiety, improve circulation, and reduce dizziness. It’s equally beneficial to maintain a regular sleep and meal schedule to stabilize Vata dosha and reduce anxiety-related symptoms.

varicose veins treatment

I have vericose veins mostly on my left leg right from my inner thigh area to foot, and a few areas on my right feet, I also need to reduce my weight a bit

Varicose veins and excess weight can often go hand-in-hand, as carrying extra weight can put more pressure on your legs and worsen vein issues. For your varicose veins, incorporating gentle exercises like walking, cycling, or swimming can help improve circulation and alleviate some of the symptoms. Elevating your legs and wearing compression stockings may also provide relief. In Ayurveda, herbs like Triphala and Guggulu are thought to improve circulation and reduce inflammation, potentially helping with varicose veins. Additionally, managing your weight through a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can help reduce strain on your legs. Consulting with a healthcare professional is important to assess treatment options, including whether more advanced medical care like sclerotherapy or laser therapy is necessary.

Solution to stop smoking; stop the craving

What is the solution to stop smoking; To stop craving of a cigarette and especially when it is linked to your digestion? As it helps many people to excrete faster. But then it leads to addiction; please advice remedy

Dear Kavita, It’s commendable that you’re taking the step to quit smoking, especially when it has become linked to your digestion. Smoking creates both a physical and psychological dependency, and when the body starts relying on nicotine for bowel movements, it can feel even harder to quit. However, Ayurveda offers natural ways to reduce cravings, detoxify the body, and support digestion without the need for cigarettes. To help with cravings, certain herbs can be very effective. Vacha (Acorus calamus) is known to reduce addictive tendencies—chewing on a small piece of dried root can help control the urge to smoke. Tulsi (holy basil) can detoxify the lungs and ease withdrawal symptoms; drinking tulsi tea or chewing fresh leaves is beneficial. If stress or anxiety triggers your smoking habit, Ashwagandha and Brahmi can provide natural calming effects. Additionally, sipping on fennel tea or chewing cardamom pods whenever cravings arise can help distract the mind and satisfy oral fixation. Since smoking stimulates digestion, your concern about constipation is valid. Instead of relying on nicotine, you can support your digestive system with Triphala powder (1 tsp with warm water before bed), and 1 tsp cow ghee on empty stomach in the morning, which gently cleanses the intestines and promotes regular bowel movements. Additionally, drinking warm water with ghee at night lubricates the gut, while spices like jeera (cumin), saunf (fennel), and ajwain (carom seeds) can be added to meals or taken with warm water after eating to aid digestion. Light yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises), especially Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati, also help improve gut function and reduce cravings. Quitting smoking is a journey, but with the right approach, your body will gradually detox, cravings will lessen, and digestion will stabilize naturally. If you’d like a more personalized Ayurvedic plan based on your dosha, I’d be happy to guide you further. Wishing you strength and balance on this path!

Cerebellum

4 answers

Lately, I have been feeling slightly uncoordinated, especially when walking or trying to balance on one leg. Sometimes, I feel like I am losing my sense of balance even when standing still, and I have also noticed mild shakiness in my hands when holding small objects. I thought it might just be due to stress or tiredness, but these symptoms seem to come and go. When I started researching possible causes, I came across the cerebellum, which plays a major role in movement, coordination, and balance. From what I read, the cerebellum is the part of the brain responsible for controlling muscle movements, posture, and fine motor skills. Some sources mention that damage or dysfunction of the cerebellum can lead to tremors, dizziness, poor coordination, or even speech difficulties. Others say that issues with the cerebellum can be caused by poor circulation, nutritional deficiencies, neurological conditions, or even long-term stress. Now, I am wondering—how can I improve my cerebellum function naturally? Doctor, I want to understand how Ayurveda views the cerebellum and whether there are natural ways to support brain function and coordination. Are there specific Ayurvedic herbs, therapies, or dietary changes that can enhance balance, focus, and motor control? I have heard that Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, and Ashwagandha are good for the brain—do they help in strengthening the cerebellum? I also want to know if my lifestyle habits, such as poor diet, lack of exercise, or excessive screen time, could be affecting my cerebellum. Are there specific foods that help nourish brain health and prevent neurological issues? Does Ayurveda recommend any detox therapies or breathing exercises to improve brain circulation and function? Since I want to maintain long-term brain health and prevent future problems, I am looking for a complete Ayurvedic approach to supporting my cerebellum naturally. Please guide me on the best Ayurvedic remedies, diet, and lifestyle changes to improve coordination, balance, and overall brain function.

In Ayurveda, brain function and coordination are governed by Vata dosha, which controls movement, nerve impulses, and balance. Imbalance in Vata can lead to unsteadiness, tremors, and lack of coordination. To strengthen the cerebellum, Ayurveda recommends medhya (brain-boosting) herbs like Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, and Ashwagandha, which enhance cognitive function, improve nerve signaling, and reduce stress. You can take Brahmi Ghrita (½ tsp with warm milk in the morning) or Ashwagandha powder (1 tsp with honey at night) to support nerve health and balance. Additionally, Nasya therapy (applying Anu Taila or Brahmi oil in the nostrils) helps improve brain circulation and balance. Diet plays a crucial role in brain health. Include healthy fats like ghee, almonds, walnuts, and flaxseeds to nourish brain cells and support nerve function. Foods rich in antioxidants, such as blueberries, pomegranates, and leafy greens, protect against oxidative damage. Avoid excessive caffeine, processed foods, and irregular eating habits, as they aggravate Vata and weaken nerve coordination. Warm, nourishing, and grounding foods help stabilize the nervous system. Drinking Brahmi or Shankhpushpi tea daily also helps improve memory, focus, and coordination. To enhance brain function and circulation, Ayurveda recommends regular Abhyanga (oil massage) with Mahanarayan oil, which strengthens the nervous system. Practicing Pranayama (especially Bhramari and Nadi Shodhana) and Yoga (such as Balancing Asanas and Shavasana) helps improve coordination and calm the mind. Detox therapies like Panchakarma, especially Virechana (cleansing through mild purgation), help remove toxins affecting nerve function. By following these Ayurvedic remedies, diet, and lifestyle changes, you can naturally support cerebellum health and maintain better balance, coordination, and focus.

What Are the Side Effects of Pregabalin, and How Can They Be Managed?

1 answers

I was recently prescribed Pregabalin for nerve pain, but I’ve heard that it can have some side effects. Now I’m wondering—what are the side effects of Pregabalin, and how can they be managed? From what I understand, Pregabalin is commonly used for conditions like neuropathic pain, epilepsy, and anxiety disorders. But what are the most common side effects—does it mainly cause dizziness and drowsiness, or are there more serious risks like dependency or withdrawal symptoms? I also read that some people experience weight gain, memory issues, or coordination problems while taking Pregabalin. How long do these side effects last—do they go away after the body adjusts, or do they persist as long as the medication is used? What precautions should be taken to reduce discomfort while on Pregabalin? Since I prefer natural treatments, I looked into Ayurveda’s approach to nerve health and pain management. Are there Ayurvedic herbs, dietary changes, or lifestyle practices that can help reduce the need for Pregabalin or ease its side effects? I found that Ashwagandha, Brahmi, and yoga for nerve health are often recommended—do these actually help in managing pain and improving nerve function naturally? For those who have used Pregabalin, what was your experience like? Did it effectively relieve nerve pain, and how did you manage any side effects? I’d love to hear real insights on using Pregabalin safely and effectively.

Pregabalin is commonly prescribed for nerve pain, epilepsy, and anxiety disorders. While it can be very effective in treating these conditions, it is associated with some side effects. The most common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, and swelling, while some people also report weight gain, memory problems, and coordination issues. These side effects are usually more noticeable when starting the medication, but they may improve as the body adjusts. However, for some people, these side effects can persist, and it is important to speak with a doctor if they become troublesome. In rare cases, dependency or withdrawal symptoms can occur if the medication is stopped abruptly, so it is crucial to taper off under a doctor’s supervision. To manage discomfort while on Pregabalin, it's helpful to stay hydrated, maintain a healthy diet, and avoid alcohol, as it can increase side effects. Natural alternatives like Ayurvedic herbs may also be helpful; Ashwagandha is known for its calming properties and ability to support nerve health, Brahmi is often used for memory and cognitive function, and yoga can help with pain management and relaxation. Many individuals find relief through a combination of conventional medications and holistic approaches, but it’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider before making changes to any treatment plan.

Anxiety and high triglyceride

What i'm do for anxiety and high triglycerides please suggest me for this health issue. Thankyou. .....

Anxiety and high triglycerides are interconnected, often influenced by stress, lifestyle, and an imbalance in doshas. Ayurveda addresses both issues holistically, focusing on calming the mind, improving digestion, and balancing lipid metabolism. Follow this step-by-step plan. 1. For Anxiety Take Ashwagandha powder (1 teaspoon) with warm milk or water at bedtime. It reduces stress and calms the nervous system. Use Brahmi capsules (500 mg twice daily) to enhance mental clarity and reduce anxiety. Practice Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (alternate nostril breathing) for 10 minutes daily to balance the mind and reduce stress levels. 2. For High Triglycerides Consume Triphala churna (1 teaspoon) with warm water at bedtime to improve digestion and support lipid metabolism. Include Guggulu-based supplements like Medohar Guggulu (2 tablets twice daily) to reduce triglycerides and improve fat metabolism. 3. Dietary Recommendations Avoid refined carbohydrates, fried foods, and sugary drinks, as they elevate triglycerides. Focus on whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats like nuts and seeds. Drink a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of lemon juice and a pinch of ginger powder in the morning to improve digestion and detoxify the system. 4. Exercise and Activity Engage in moderate physical activity like walking, yoga, or swimming for 30 minutes daily to reduce triglycerides and enhance mental health. Practice yoga poses like Shavasana (Corpse Pose), Balasana (Child’s Pose), and Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend) to relax the mind and body. 5. Herbal Teas for Both Issues Drink warm water infused with cumin, coriander, and fennel seeds throughout the day. This supports digestion, balances doshas, and helps reduce triglycerides. 6. Stress Management Incorporate Abhyanga (self-oil massage) with warm sesame oil before a bath to calm Vata and relax the mind. Meditate for at least 10 minutes daily to cultivate mindfulness and reduce anxiety triggers. 7. Long-Term Support Consistency is key. Follow this plan for at least 6–8 weeks to see improvements in triglyceride levels and anxiety. Monitor your triglyceride levels regularly and consult your physician or Ayurvedic practitioner for ongoing guidance.

Migraine

I have chronic migraine since 7 years is there any permanent treatment to cure it. I have tried allopathic medicine and homeopathy also but nothing worked. And I am facing a lot of issues. Please help me with ayurvedic medicine treatment. Not able to do House hold chores. I am not sesitive to light and sound but feel dizziness always and head spinning sensation. Also I feel laziness the whole day and want to sleep always. Fatigue is there. Please help me any medicine or any treatment.

Chronic migraine, along with symptoms of dizziness, fatigue, and persistent head spinning, can often be attributed to imbalances in the Vata and Pitta doshas in Ayurveda. Migraines are known as Ardhavabhedaka in Ayurveda, and treatment focuses on pacifying these doshas, detoxifying the body, and providing deep nourishment to the nervous system. Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) and Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) are excellent herbs for calming the mind, enhancing cognitive function, and reducing stress, which can be root causes of migraines. Additionally, Saraswatarishta and Pathyadi Kashayam are beneficial Ayurvedic formulations specifically for chronic headaches and migraines, helping to reduce intensity and frequency over time. External therapies like Shirodhara (continuous pouring of medicated oil on the forehead) and Nasya (nasal administration of medicated oils like Anu Tailam or Shadbindu Tailam) are highly effective for balancing the doshas and relieving headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. Daily practices like Abhyanga (self-massage with warm sesame or Mahanarayan oil) can also soothe the nervous system and relieve tension in the head and neck area. Dietary changes are also essential—favoring warm, light, and easily digestible foods can help reduce Vata aggravation, while avoiding spicy, sour, and fermented foods to keep Pitta balanced. Regular hydration and herbal teas with ginger and tulsi can also help reduce dizziness and inflammation. A consistent daily routine with adequate rest, gentle yoga, and relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation will also support long-term relief from migraine symptoms.
