Cabbage + chapati + papaya + banana together can cause gas and indigestion in some people. Cabbage produces gas, and mixing many foods/fruits together can upset digestion. Running feeling in upper abdomen is usually gas, acidity, or indigestion. What You Should Do Do not eat fruits with meals Eat fruits separately (30–60 min before food or 2 hours after food) Eat cabbage in small quantity Eat slowly and chew properly Ayurvedic Rx Take Jeera + Ajwain + Saunf powder – ½ teaspoon after meals with warm water Drink warm water You can take buttermilk with a pinch of roasted jeera after lunch

You are experiencing gas trapping + bloating (very common with cabbage - high in raffinose & fibre) + referred upper abdominal discomfort that feels like something running/moving up and down. This is trapped intestinal gas pressing on diaphragm/nerves and creates a sensation of movement/pulsation in upper belly/chest. ✓Immediate Relief (Today) Warm Hing water — ½ tsp Hing (asafoetida) in 1 glass warm water = sip slowly (fastest gas release) Vajrasana = sit 10–15 min right after eating (prevents gas trapping) Warm castor oil pack = soak cloth in warm castor oil and place on upper abdomen 15 min and hot water bottle on top (relieves bloating & movement sensation) Gentle clockwise abdominal massage with warm sesame oil 5–10 min (helps move gas downward) ✓Diet Changes (Next 7–10 days) Avoid for now: cabbage, raw pawpaw/banana, beans, high-fibre chapati/roti, carbonated drinks Eat only: thin moong dal khichdi + 1 tsp ghee, boiled lauki/pumpkin, pomegranate, thin rice kanji, roasted jeera water Small meals every 3 hours, chew very slowly, dinner before 7 PM ✓Prevent Future Episodes Cook cabbage very well (pressure cook) + add hing/jeera while cooking Eat banana/pawpaw ripe & in small amounts after meals (not on empty stomach) Avoid combining high-fibre + high-sugar fruits in same meal Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

Hello Thanks for sharing what’s been going on. So, after you eat cabbage, chapati, papaya, and banana together, you get bloated, feel heavy, get discomfort in your upper belly, and feel restless. But dont worry we are here to help you out 😊 YOUR CONCERN After wolfing down certain foods, you’re feeling: – Gassy and bloated – Stomach feels heavy up top – Like food is stuck – Restless after eating You think it started when you ate cabbage, chapati, papaya, and banana all together. What Ayurveda Says Sounds like a classic case of bad food combos (Viruddha Ahara) plus weak digestion (Agnimandya). Those foods don’t mix well: Cabbage = Heavy, gassy, makes Kapha and Vata worse
Chapati = Dry, heavy
Banana = Heavy, makes Kapha
Papaya = Digests fast, hot
When you eat them together, they sort of ferment, making: – Ama (toxic stuff) – Gas – Gas moving upwards (chest and belly issues) Which gives you: – Bloating – Upward gas What’s the Plan? – Get rid of trapped gas – Get your digestion working well – Stop the fermentation – Fix the food combos – Keep it from coming back AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT We’re gonna: – Boost your digestion – Chill out Vata and Kapha – Digest that toxic stuff

INTERNAL MEDICATION For 10–14 days, take this 1. Hingwashtak Churna ½ tsp before eating with warm water
2 Ajamodadi Churna ½ tsp twice a day
3.Avipattikar Churna ½ tsp at night
4.Jeerakarishta 20 ml after you eat
This will – Digest gas
–Remove that heavy feeling – Stop fermentation –Get your bowels moving normally HOME REMEDIES For gas right away: Mix:½ tsp ajwain A pinch of hing In warm water Sip it slowly. Every day: – Drink only warm water – Ginger tea after eating DIET PLAN (Pay Attention!) ❌ Never mix: – Banana + papaya – Banana + chapati – Cabbage + fruits – Fruits after eating ✔ Do this instead: – Eat fruits alone in the morning – Eat cabbage: Cooked With jeera, hing, ginger –Eat chapati with: Dal / sabji Not fruits Your problem isn’t a disease – it’s just a food mix-up. Fix those food combos, take the stuff I suggested, and your stomach should be fine. Avoid mixing those foods, and your digestion will stay strong! Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

From what you describe, the stomach discomfort and bloating after eating cabbage, chapati, pawpaw (papaya), and banana is most likely related to food combinations and digestion issues rather than a serious disease. Ayurveda explains this as Agni (digestive fire) being disturbed by certain incompatible foods (Viruddha Ahara). ***Why this happens---- - Cabbage: Can produce gas and bloating, especially if not cooked well. - Banana + Papaya: Both are heavy and can slow digestion when taken together. - Chapati + Raw fruits: Mixing grains with raw fruits often causes fermentation and bloating. - Running up and down feeling: That sensation in the upper abdomen is likely trapped gas or indigestion. ***Ayurvedic View— This pattern points to Vata imbalance (gas, bloating, restlessness) and mild Kapha involvement (heaviness). - Hingvashtak Churna: ½ tsp with warm water after meals. Helps reduce gas and bloating. - Jeera + Ajwain + Saunf tea: Boil 1 tsp each in water, sip warm after meals. Improves digestion. - Trikatu Churna (Pippali, Maricha, Shunthi): ¼ tsp with honey once daily. Stimulates Agni. - Avoid mixing fruits with grains: Eat fruits separately, at least 1–2 hours away from chapati or cooked meals. ***Lifestyle Tips— - Eat cabbage only well-cooked, with spices like hing, ajwain, or cumin. - Avoid cold water with meals; take warm water. - Small walks after meals help digestion, but avoid running immediately. - Keep meals simple — don’t mix too many heavy foods at once. WARM REGARDS DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

Your symptoms suggest acute indigestion with gaseous distension triggered by certain foods. Cabbage is known to be gas-forming and heavy to digest, especially when combined with chapati, banana, or taken before physical activity. Running soon after eating aggravates abdominal discomfort because digestion is still in progress. Avoid running or vigorous activity for at least 1.5–2 hours after meals Prefer warm, freshly cooked, light food Avoid cabbage, cauliflower, rajma, chana, and bananas at night or before activity Sip warm water instead of cold water Take roasted ajwain (½ tsp) + a pinch of black salt with warm water Or drink ginger + cumin-infused warm water Gentle walking (not running) helps gas movement Ayurvedic Medicine: Hingwashtak churna - ¼–½ tsp with warm water after meals Avipattikar churna - 3 gm - 20 mins before meal twice a day with lukewarm water Diet for Next 1–2 Days Moong dal khichdi Thin rice gruel (kanji) Cooked vegetables with cumin and ginger Avoid fried, cold, packaged, and heavy foods

HELLO, Stomach discomfort after eating cabbage, chapati, papaya, and banana, with running up and down feeling in the upper abdomen- this is most consistent with gas formation, indigestion, and aggravated vata-pitta imbalance in ayurvedic terms Since it has been less than 1 week, it is likely an acute digestive disturbance rather than a chronic disorder WHAT IS LIKELY HAPPENING -cabbage is gas forming -chapati can be heavy to digest for some people -banana + papaya together may disturb digestion in certain individuals -This combination can cause =gas, bloating, upper abdominal movement sensation, urgency or loose sttols IN AYURVEDA This condition resembles -Indigestion-ajerna -Gas and distention- adhmana -aggravation of vata in the upper abdomen -possibly mild pitta aggravation DIET CORRECTION AVOID FOR 5-7 DAYS -cabbage -raw vegetables -banana + papaya together -heavy wheat preparations -cold water -fried foods TAKE -warm,freshly cooked meals -soft rice with moong dal -light khichri -thin vegetable soup- bottle gourd, carrot -warm water throughout the day -buttermilk with roasted cumin IMPROVE DIGESTIVE FIRE MORNING EMPTY STOMACH -1 slice fresh ginger -add a pinch of rock salt -chew slowly OR -Warm water + few drops lemon + pinch cumin powder HOME REMEDIES 1) HING WATER= 1 pinch hing in warn water drink after meals 2) AJWAIN WATER= boil 1/2 tsp in 1 cup water- drink warm after meals 3) JEERA WATER= boil 1 tsp cumin seeds in water sip warm INTERNAL MEDCIATION 1) HINGWASTAKA CHURNA= 1/2 tsp with warm water after meals 2) AVIPATTIKAR CHURA= 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime if burning sensation present 3) JEERAKADYARISHTA= 15ml with equal water after meals LIFESTYLE -eat only when hungry -do not lie down immediately after meals -walk slowly for 5-10 min after meals -avoid overeating -avoid eating fruits immediately after meals WHY THIS HAPPENED IN AYURVEDA -Cabbage-> increases vata -wheat + fruits together-> can cause ama(toxic undigested material) -weak digestion-> leads to gas movement in upper abdomen HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO IMPROVE? If mild= 2-3 days with proper diet correction If moderate= 5-7 days DO FOLLOW THANK YOU HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL
