••Based on the clinical presentation you have described, these symptoms strongly point toward a classic case of Pratishyaya-originated or Apanavata-induced Mahasrotas Rog (Gastrointestinal distress), specifically aligning with Anaha (intestinal distension/bloating), Vistambha (severe constipation with colic pain), and Vatavyadhi due to Udvarta (upward movement of gas). ••Here is a comprehensive Ayurvedic clinical approach to manage and relieve this condition. 1. Immediate Symptomatic Relief (First Aid) To relieve the acute pressure, pain, and upward movement of gas: ••Seka & Svedana (Local Warmth): Apply a warm compress or a heating pad to the left side of your abdomen and the chest area. You can gently massage the abdomen with warm Erandasneha (Castor oil) or Mahanarayan Taila in a clockwise direction before applying heat. ••Hinguashtak Churna: Take 1/2 teaspoon (approx. 2–3 grams) of Hinguashtak Churna mixed with a teaspoon of warm Ghee (clarified butter) with your first bite of food, or simply take it with warm water after meals. It is excellent for cutting through Ama and redirecting Vayu downward. ••Sankha Vati / Agnitundi Vati: 1 tablet twice a day after meals with warm water to relieve severe bloating and colic pain. 2. Addressing Constipation & Regulating Vayu Since constipation is the root cause keeping the gas trapped, clearing the bowels is your highest priority. ••Gandharva Haritaki Churna: Take 1 teaspoon (3–5 grams) with warm water at bedtime. Haritaki processed with castor oil is specifically indicated for Anaha because it clears the colon without causing dry cramps. ••Aragvadha Kapila Vati or Triphala Churna: Alternatively, if you prefer a milder laxative, 1-2 tablets of Aragvadha or a teaspoon of Triphala in warm water at night will help initiate a morning evacuation. 3. Managing Chest Pressure, Dizziness, and Headache The dizziness and headache are secondary symptoms caused by the Pitta getting vitiated by the trapped Vata (Vata-Pitta upward surge). ••Jeerakadyarishta or Dashmoolarishta: Take 15–20 ml with an equal quantity of lukewarm water twice a day after meals. This helps digest corporate gas, relieves chest pressure, and calms the nervous system to alleviate dizziness. ••Dhanyaka-Musta Hima (Cold Infusion): Crush 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds and 1 teaspoon of Musta (Cyperus rotundus), soak them in a cup of water overnight, strain, and sip it the next day. This cools the upper GI tract and reduces the reflux causing the headache.
