1.Vilwadi leham 1 tsp twice daily with warm water after meals 2.Hinguvachadi gulika 2 tab twice daily with warm water before meals 3.Jeerkarishta 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals Diet Guidelines— - Eat warm, cooked foods → Avoid raw salads, cold drinks, and refrigerated leftovers. Favor soups, khichdi, lightly spiced vegetables. - Spices for digestion → Use cumin, coriander, fennel, ginger, ajwain, and hing in cooking. These reduce gas and strengthen Agni (digestive fire). - Small, frequent meals → Don’t overload the stomach. Eat moderate portions at regular times. - Avoid heavy foods → Limit fried, oily, processed, and very spicy items. Reduce dairy if it worsens bloating. - Hydration → Sip warm water or herbal teas (ginger, cumin-fennel tea) throughout the day. Avoid drinking large amounts of water immediately after meals. - Fruits → Favor ripe papaya, pomegranate, and cooked apples/pears. Avoid bananas and very sour fruits if they worsen gas. - Evening meal → Keep dinner light and finish before 7:30 pm. Lifestyle Tips— - Meal routine → Eat at the same times daily, chew food thoroughly, and avoid lying down immediately after eating. - Yoga & Pranayama - Pavanmuktasana (wind-relieving pose) for gas. - Vajrasana (diamond pose) after meals for digestion. - Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) for calming digestion and stress. - Daily walk → 20–30 minutes of gentle walking aids metabolism and prevents bloating. - Stress management → Meditation, chanting, or journaling helps reduce Vata imbalance that can worsen indigestion. - Sleep hygiene → Go to bed by 10 pm, avoid late-night eating, and keep a calm bedtime routine. - Avoid suppressing urges → Don’t hold back natural urges like burping or passing gas, as this increases Ama.

Thank you for sharing your concern Smitha ji I can understand how uncomfortable and tiring it must be to deal with indigestion gas and frequent vomiting for such a long time especially when your appetite is still good From an Ayurvedic perspective this pattern usually indicates that although you feel hungry the digestive fire is not functioning in a stable manner which we call vishamagni and mandagni together where food is taken well but not processed properly leading to formation of ama which becomes the root cause of gas heaviness and nausea Over time this also disturbs vata and pitta especially in the menopause stage where natural hormonal changes increase dryness and irregularity in the body Your past history of fibroids also shows a long standing imbalance in apana vata and rakta dhatu So now the focus should be on gently correcting digestion rather than using very strong medicines or very heating home remedies I would advise you to start with simple and soothing measures like taking warm water in small sips throughout the day eating freshly cooked light meals such as moong dal khichdi avoiding heavy oily spicy and sour foods for some time You can take a small piece of fresh ginger with a pinch of rock salt before meals if it suits you to improve digestion but do not overuse heating herbs After meals you can take little saunf to reduce gas and support digestion Try to maintain regular meal timings and avoid eating late at night Very important is to calm the gut rather than overstimulate it If vomiting is frequent or not reducing it is always better to rule out any underlying issue with a basic checkup along with Ayurvedic care With proper correction of agni and removal of ama gradually your symptoms will settle and digestion will become more stable again

From what you’re describing, your digestion is not working properly even though your appetite feels good. That’s why you’re getting gas, heaviness and even vomiting. At your age and menopause stage, Vata tends to increase, which can disturb digestion further. So instead of focusing only on appetite, we need to make your digestion stable and calm. Start with your diet: Eat simple, warm, freshly cooked food. Don’t eat heavy meals even if you feel very hungry. It’s better to take small portions more mindfully. Foods like moong dal, light khichdi, soft cooked vegetables (like lauki, pumpkin) will suit you better. Add a little ghee in your meals—it actually helps digestion and reduces gas. At the same time, avoid fried, spicy, sour and fermented foods. Also try not to take tea or coffee on an empty stomach, as it can worsen vomiting and acidity. For support, you can take: * Avipattikar churna at night with warm water (helps with acidity and bowel regulation) * Hingwashtak churna with the first bite of food (helps reduce gas and improves digestion) with ghee Along with this, keep sipping warm water through the day. A very mild jeera–saunf water is okay, but don’t make it too strong. Some small habits will also help a lot: Take a short walk daily, don’t lie down immediately after eating, and try to keep your meal timings regular. One important thing since you are having frequent vomiting for a long time, it’s better to get a basic check-up like an ultrasound or evaluation for acidity/gastritis, just to be safe. In simple terms, your hunger is there, but digestion is weak. So the goal is not to eat more, but to digest better and gently calm the system.
