You should continue only Arjuna and discontinue Parthadyarishta to reduce the medicine burden. Als you are not facing any major issue reduce Arjuna to only 1 tablet a day. Important Considerations -Kidney Health: Since she has slightly high potassium and is taking kidney supplements like Punarnasava and Gokshuradi Guggulu, simplifying the regimen is safer for renal function. -Blood Pressure: Her BP (110/69 to 130/80) is currently well-controlled. Over-medicating with multiple cardiac tonics could potentially lead to hypotension (low BP).
At age 69, with stable BP and good cardiac status, it is safe to continue Arjuna, but taking both Arjuna tablet + Parthadyarishtha together is usually not necessary long-term. Best Approach: Choose one main cardiac support Arjuna (Tablet/Churna) → better for long-term daily use Parthadyarishtha → useful short-term, but contains sugar (not ideal long-term in elderly) Recommended Plan: Continue Arjuna only Dose: 1 tablet (500 mg approx.) twice daily after meals Gradually taper and stop Parthadyarishtha over 1–2 weeks (do not stop abruptly) Duration: Arjuna can be safely taken long-term (3–6 months or more) under supervision Important Points: Since BP is mostly normal (110/69–130/80), avoid overmedication Monitor potassium & kidney function regularly Continue BP tablet only when required (as advised) Regards Dr Shashank Aggarwal Ayurveda consultant
It’s not ideal to keep taking both Arjuna and Parthadyarishtha together long-term, especially at age 69 with kidney concerns and multiple medicines. One well-chosen option is usually enough. 👉Arjuna Known for: mild cardioprotective effect, BP support, heart muscle strength. 👉Parthadyarishtha Multi-herb fermented tonic. 👉 Taking both together = overlapping action + unnecessary complexity. Choose ONE, not both Prefer Arjuna alone for long-term support Gradually taper off Parthadyarishtha. Continue for 2–3 months, then reassess But take a review break every 3 months or take a proper consultation after 3 months. Dr. Muskan Chopra Ayurvedacharyaa
Both Parthadyarishta and Arjuna are cardiac-supportive; using both may be unnecessary duplication. Continue Arjuna only 1 tablet once daily after breakfast for maintenance Continue 3 months, then reassess BP, symptoms, kidney profile. Parthadyarishta: Can be stopped gradually or discontinued if continuing Arjuna. Usually both are not required together.
