BPH (enlarged prostate) is correlated with Mutraghata and Vata–Kapha imbalance affecting the bladder–prostate region. Vata → incomplete emptying (post-void urine 114 ml) Kapha → gland enlargement (30 gm) Weak Agni (digestion) leads to obstruction in urinary channels (Mutravaha srotas dushti). Rx Gokshuradi Guggulu – reduces swelling, improves urine flow Varunadi Kwath – helps shrink prostate size Chandraprabha Vati – relieves frequency, improves bladder tone Shilajit (purified) – strengthens urinary system 2. Diet (Pathya): Take light, warm, easy-to-digest food Barley water, bottle gourd, pumpkin, coconut water Avoid: spicy, sour, heavy, fried, curd at night 3. Lifestyle: Do not hold urine Gentle yoga: Ashwini mudra, Mula bandha Daily walking + warm sitz bath 4. Panchakarma (if needed): Basti (medicated enema) is the best therapy for Vata-related urinary disorders

Your condition resembles Vata–Kapha imbalance in the Mutravaha Srotas (urinary system), leading to incomplete bladder emptying and frequent night urination. The enlarged prostate causes Avarana (obstruction) of Apana Vata, resulting in weak flow and residual urine. With proper diet control, Vata-pacifying medicines, and regulation of fluids and sleep, this condition can be managed and symptoms can be reduced. —Prescription: 1) Chandraprabha Vati – 2 tabs BD after food 2) Gokshuradi Guggulu – 2 tabs BD after food 3) Varunadi Kwatha – 20–30 ml with equal warm water BD before food 4)Punarnava Mandur – 1 tab BD after food (if weakness/edema present) 5)Ural BPH – 1–2 capsules BD after food —Anupana: Warm water –Pathya (Diet & Lifestyle): Reduce evening fluid intake Avoid tea/coffee at night Early light dinner Prevent constipation Double voiding before sleep Regular walking – follow up after 1 month

The honest answer: BPH is not truly reversible in the classical sense, because it’s a hormone-driven enlargement (mainly DHT-related). However, it can be controlled very well, and in some cases size + symptoms can reduce significantly. As in your case it is moderate enelargment so you can expect seeing results. What actually happens: Prostate enlargement = gradual, age + androgen influence Symptoms come from: Mechanical obstruction Muscle tone around bladder neck What medicines can do: Reduce symptoms quickly (urine flow, urgency) Shrink prostate partially (over months) Delay or avoid surgery for years Follow some simple lifestyle changes and dietary changes and you will see results for your problem of BPH. ??Do’s?? Drink buttermilk daily. Eat freshly cooked food. Drink warm water. Lunch and dinner on fixed timings. 100 steps after every meal. If possible dinner as early as 7-8 pm. Use breif pants over trunks and other types of pants. ?Don’ts:? Avoid jeans. Packed and processed food. Ready to eat items. Oily and spicy food. Sour and fermented products. Dals (only moong dal can be eaten) Besan Raw vegetables and sprouts Curd ?? Medication ?? Tab. Chandraprabha Vati 2 tabs twice a day before food Tab.Kanchanar guggul 2 tabs twice a day before food Syp. Varunadi Kwath 3 tsp twice a day before food. Castor oil. 3 tsp at bed time with hot water.

Hello, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is viewed in Ayurveda as Vastivata or Mutraghata, primarily caused by an imbalance of Apana Vayu and Kapha, leading to the gradual obstruction of the urinary tract. While a 30g prostate is only mildly enlarged, your post-void residual (PVR) volume of 114 ml indicates significant incomplete emptying, which is likely why you are experiencing nocturia (waking up twice at night). Ayurvedic Perspective & Management The focus is on pacifying Vata to improve the flow of urine and reducing Kapha to manage the glandular growth. 1. Himsagar Tailam: Apply externally on the lower abdominal area (Basti Pradesha) before a warm bath to pacify Vata and reduce local tension. 2. Varanadi Kwath: 15 ml diluted with 45 ml of lukewarm water, taken twice daily on an empty stomach (approx. 30 minutes before food). This helps in “Lekhana” (scraping) of the excess tissue growth. 3. Punarnavasav : Take 20 ml with equal water after food to reduce swelling and flush the tract. 4. Chandraprabha Vati: 1 tablet twice daily after food. This is a classical formulation used to strengthen the bladder and regulate urinary flow. Important Considerations Avoid drinking large amounts of water 2 hours before bedtime to reduce night-time frequency. Reduce excessively spicy, salty, and dry foods which aggravate Vata. A PVR of 114 ml requires regular monitoring to ensure there is no back-pressure on the kidneys.

1.Chandraprabha vati 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.Gokshuradi guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Varunadi kwath 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals 4.Ural BPH capsules 1 cap twice daily with water after meals Diet and Lifestyle Adjustments -Hydration: Drink 2.5 to 3 liters of water daily. However, stop heavy fluid intake after 7:00 PM to reduce nighttime trips to the bathroom (Nocturia). -Barley Water (Jau Jal): Drinking a glass of barley water daily is highly alkaline and can soothe the “fire” in the urinary tract almost immediately. -Pumpkin Seeds: Eat 1 tablespoon daily; they contain phytosterols that support prostate health. -Double Voiding: After urinating, wait 30 seconds and try again to ensure the bladder is truly empty. -Avoid: Spicy foods, caffeine, alcohol, and sour items (like heavy pickles), as these irritate the bladder lining.

Hello, Your reports suggest early moderate BPH -prostate size = 30 gm (mild enlargement) -post void residual= 114 ml (incomplete emptying) -Symptoms= weak flow + night urination 2 times This stage is manageable well with Ayurveda and progession can be slowed or even partially reversed if treated properly This is -Mutraghata (urinary obstruction) -due to vata (flow obstruction) + kapha (enlargement) Internal medication Main prostate support 1) Chandraprabha gulika= 2 tabs twice dail y after meals =improves urine flow, reduces residual urine Reduce enlargement tendency 2) Varunadi kashayam tablets= 2 tabs twice daily before meals =helps in reducing glandular swelling Urinary system strengthening 3) Gokshuradi guggulu= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =supports bladder emptying and reduces ostruction Lifestyle very important -don’t hold urine -avoid sitting long hours -gentle walking daily -empty bladder fully (double voiding technique) Diet -plenty of warm water -barley water (excellent for prostate) -pumpkin seeds (natural support) Avoid -alcohol -excess caffeine (tea, coffee) -very spicy and salty food Night urination control -reduce fluid intake after 7 pm -urinate before sleep Timeline -3-4 weeks= improved flow -6-8 weeks= reduced night urination -3 months= better bladder emptying Important -repeat PVR test after 2 months -monitor symptoms regularly Seek immediate care if - unable to pass urine, blood in urine, sudden worsening of flow Your condition is not severe yet can be managed effectively without surgery at this stage Consistency is key Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
