Since you are already taking blood pressure and heart-related medicines (Telmikind, Starpress XL, Ecosprin AV), persistent palpitations should be evaluated by your physician or cardiologist to idebntify the cause. Take Arjuna Ksheerapaka: 30–50 ml twice daily. Arjunarishta: 15–20 ml with equal water twice daily after meals. Brahmi Vati: 1 tablet twice daily after food. Ashwagandha Churna: 3 g at bedtime with warm milk. Lifestyle Reduce caffeine, tea, smoking, and alcohol. Maintain regular sleep. Practice meditation and slow breathing exercises daily. Diet Include pomegranate, raisins, dates, and fresh fruits. Avoid excessive spicy, fried, and processed foods.

Do not self-start any new tablets with your current heart medicines consult a cardiologist + psychiatrist review for anxiety management

••From an Ayurvedic perspective, your current presentation of heart palpitations (Hrid-Drava) and overthinking (Chinta or Manovaha Srota Dushti) points heavily toward an exacerbation of Vata Dosha, particularly Prana Vayu (governing the nervous system and mind) and Vyana Vayu (governing circulation and the rhythm of the heart). ••Because you are managing underlying cardiovascular conditions with modern pharmacotherapy—specifically Telmisartan (Telmikind), a cardioselective beta-blocker Metoprolol (Starpress XL), and a statin/antiplatelet combination Atorvastatin + Aspirin (Ecosprin AV)—any Ayurvedic intervention must carefully respect your current biochemical parameters. ••Medhya Rasayanas (For Overthinking & Mind Calming) ••Brahmi Vati (with Gold/Suwarna yukta) or Shankhapushpi Tablets: Mechanism: Both Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) and Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) act directly on the Manovaha Srotas. They are classical psychological adaptogens that balance Prana Vayu, modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, and reduce cortisol spikes that trigger overthinking. Suggested Dosage: 1 tablet twice daily with lukewarm water, after meals. ••Mansyadi Kwath / Jatamansi Tablets: Mechanism: Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi) is an exceptional Nidrajanak (sleep-inducing) and Bhootaghna (anxiolytic) herb. It reduces mind-wandering and calms a racing brain without creating sedation or dependency. 2. Hridya Rasayanas (For Palpitations & Cardiac Stability) ••Arjunarishta or Arjuna Tablets: Mechanism: Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) is rich in coenzyme Q10 and bioflavonoids. In Ayurveda, it is the premier Hridya drug (cardiotonic). It nourishes the Mansa Dhatu of the heart, strengthens cardiac muscles, and stabilizes Vyana Vayu to alleviate subjective palpitations. Suggested Dosage: If using tablets, 1 tablet twice daily. If using Arjunarishta (liquid), 15–20 ml with an equal quantity of water twice daily after meals. Prabhakar Vati: ••Mechanism: A classical herbo-mineral formulation containing Arjuna, Iron (Lauha Bhasma), Tamra Bhasma, Shilajit, and Vanslochan. It acts as a natural cardiotonic that helps control irregular pulse rhythms caused by anxiety. ••As a clinician, integrating these systems requires meticulous safety parameters. Please keep the following interactions in mind: 1. Beta-Blocker Amplification (Starpress XL 25) Starpress XL contains Metoprolol, which reduces your heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand.
Precaution: Herbs like Jatamansi and formulations like Prabhakar Vati naturally slow down an accelerated heart rate. When combined with a beta-blocker, there is a minor risk of additive bradycardia. Action: Monitor your resting pulse rate. If it drops below 60 beats per minute, the dosage of the herbo-mineral cardiac formulations must be adjusted. 2. Antihypertensive Synergism (Telmikind 40) Telmisartan reduces peripheral vascular resistance to lower blood pressure.
Precaution: Arjuna (Arjunarishta) has mild diuretic and vasodilatory actions. While beneficial, taking them simultaneously with Telmikind may cause a synergistic drop in blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension), leading to dizziness. Action: Maintain a strict 2-hour gap between your morning allopathic medications and your Ayurvedic formulations. 3. Antiplatelet & Gastric Care (Ecosprin AV 10/75) Ecosprin contains Aspirin, which can irritate the gastric mucosa (Amashaya) and increase Pitta, potentially causing silent gastritis, which clinically can mimic or exacerbate palpitations. Action: Ensure your evening Ecosprin is strictly taken after a substantial meal. Avoid highly spicy, Amla (sour), and Tikshna (sharp/pungent) foods that aggravate Pitta and Vata, as gastric distress directly triggers reflux-induced palpitations via the vagus nerve. Lifestyle & Dietetic Upakramas (Regimens) To truly calm Vata Dosha, medicinal intervention must be paired with daily lifestyle habits: Pratimarsha Nasya: Instilling 2 drops of lukewarm Anu Taila or plain Gau Ghrita (Cow’s Ghee) into each nostril every morning on an empty stomach. The nasal route (Nasa Hi Shirasor Dvaram) connects directly to the cranial space, effectively soothing Prana Vayu and reducing overthinking. Shiroabhyanga & Padabhyanga: Massaging the scalp and the soles of the feet with Brahmi Taila or Ksheerabala Taila before sleeping. This anchors the floating Vata, induces deep sleep (Nidra), and stabilizes nervous system hyper-reactivity. Dietary Adjustments: Transition to a Vata-shamak diet. Consume warm, unctuous (Snigdha), easily digestible food. Incorporate cow’s ghee into your diet, and strictly avoid cold, stale, dry (Ruksha), and caffeinated items which trigger both cardiac irritation and anxiety.
