Experiencing persistent head pain and burning sensation can be quite distressing, especially when conventional treatments haven’t offered relief. In Ayurveda, such symptoms can often be related to an imbalance of the Pitta dosha, which is associated with heat and inflammation in body. To address this imbalance, there are several steps you can take.

First, focus on cooling down excessive Pitta. Begin with dietary adjustments; incorporate Pitta-pacifying foods like cucumbers, melons, leafy greens, and dairy products like milk in your diet. Avoid hot, spicy foods, caffeinated drinks, and citrus fruits which may aggravate Pitta. Also, drinking coconut water can provide a cooling effect.

Introducing herbal supplements can also help. Brahmi and Gotu Kola are known for their calming and cooling properties, benefiting both head and nervous system. You can take these in the form of capsules or teas, but it’s best to consult with a local Ayurvedic practitioner for suitable dosages specific to your constitution and condition.

Practicing Shirodhara, an Ayurvedic treatment where warm oil is poured over the forehead, can offer relief from burning sensations and stress. This is best done under supervision of an experienced therapist. Self-massage with Bhringaraj oil or Brahmi oil, focusing gently on the scalp, may also be beneficial. Ensure the oil is lukewarm to avoid provoking further pain.

Daily lifestyle modifications might include meditation and Pranayama, which are breathing exercises to calm the mind and reduce stress. Try Sheetali or Sheetkari pranayama – both techniques focus on cooling the body’s internal system.

It’s vital to monitor how you react to these treatments. If pain persists or intensifies, please consult a medical professional as ongoing head pain could indicate something requiring immediate medical attention. Integrating Ayurveda with conventional medical advice is sometimes necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
