Wow, that sounds pretty uncomfortable. If you’re waking up with a mouth full of saliva, yeah, that’s got to be annoying. Let’s break this down a bit—it’s not uncommon, actually, but definitely something to look into.

In Ayurveda, excessive saliva can be linked to imbalances in the kapha dosha. Think of kapha like earth and water elements in the body—too much can lead to mucus and, yep, excess saliva. This could be tied to your diet or lifestyle; heavy, oily, or fried foods, eating close to bedtime, or even poor digestion could be culprits.

Okay, here’s what I’d suggest: First, try adjusting what you eat. Aim to have a light dinner, nothing too greasy or spicy—go for steamed veggies or something easy to digest. And silk clothing’s good for the night, they say it helps balance energies, couldn’t hurt.

You might also wanna look at your bedtime habits. Give your meal at least 2-3 hours before you hit the sack. It can make a big difference! Keep an eye on staying hydrated during the day, but ease up a bit on water a couple hours before sleeping.

Now, for the herbal side—Triphala could be your friend here. It might support digestion, take it with warm water before bed. Just a teaspoon, but remember, consistency is key so give it time.

That said, if it’s been going on for two years, you might want a professional opinion too. A dentist or even an ENT specialist (just to rule out anything unusual) could give you peace of mind. Remember though, Ayurveda often works best alongside conventional medicine, not against it!

This isn’t likely an emergency, but yeah, lingering issues are worth taking care of, ya know? So consider making those tweaks and chatting with a pro!
