"How to reduce tremor?" How to cure anxiety disorder? - #21467

Athira

My resting hands are steady but when I do something my hand tremors, feeling extremely difficult to hold even a cup of hot tea, applying eyeliner, cutting veggies, washing clothes seems like a herculean task.My father and his mother have it.So is it genetic? Anyways to completely cure?.I have anxiety disorder as well.i used to take tablet at that time I literally started living my life became more confident but when I stopped it's back again.i feel like it is not the situation, people or place that make us anxious but the symptoms of anxiety which make us feel that we are stuck in a loop.is this interconnected?kindly suggest a solution.can it be completely cured

Certainly sounds frustrating dealing with those tremors and anxiety! So, let’s break this down a bit. Tremors can def be genetic like you mentioned, especially if both your dad and grandma have 'em too. It’s not unusual to see this kind of pattern run in families. Now, regarding Ayurveda and these symptoms… it’s all about balance, you know? Likely your Vata dosha – which governs movement and nervous system – is in disharmony, causing these tremors and anxious feelings.

For anxiety, first, let’s consider lifestyle tweaks to balance Vata. Routine is key; waking up, eating, and going to bed at the same time can make a world of a difference. Are you eating warm, oily (not the greasy kind!) foods? Foods like oats, whole grains, and nuts really can help ground and calm Vata. Avoid things like cold drinks, raw foods or too much caffeine which might elevate the Vata.

Pranayama (breathing exercises) is another powerful tool. Try nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) every day, maybe twice – morning and evening. It really clears your mind, slows things down.

Now for those hand tremors, consider Abhyanga – a warm oil massage. Sesame oil can be really nourishing for Vata. Gently massage it in a circular motion on your limbs and joints daily, ideally before showering.

Since you’ve felt better with medication in the past, don’t hesitate to incorporate both ayurvedic solutions and conventional treatment. No shame in seeking relief in balanced ways. Also, practicing yoga can stabilize your nervous system. Asanas like Balasana (child’s pose), Shavasana (corpse pose), and Savasana can ground you.

As for a complete cure, it’s not that simple… especially with the genetic component. Working with a skilled practitioner who understands both ayurvedic and modern treatments could be really beneficial for personalized advice. Remember, everyone is different, so staying connected with your inner self and observing what works and what doesn’t might reveal additional truths. Finally, before trying anything new, particularly if combining with other treatments, consulting your healthcare provider is crucial. Hang in there!
