Hello Debjani, I understand how uncomfortable and worrying it feels to deal with repeated urinary tract infections (UTI) and persistent white discharge, especially when symptoms return even after antibiotics. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊
✅ AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT
✅INTERNAL MEDICATION
1 Chandraprabha Vati 2 tabs twice daily after food (Clears urinary infection, balances Pitta–Kapha)
2 Gokshuradi Guggulu 1 tab twice daily after food (Strengthens bladder tone, prevents recurrence)
3 Usheerasava 15 ml twice daily with equal water after food (Cooling, purifying, supports reproductive health)
4 Punarnavadi Kashayam 15 ml twice daily with warm water(Reduces inflammation and swelling in urinary tract)
Continue for 6–8 weeks and re-evaluate after one menstrual cycle for progress.
✅DIET & LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION
✅ Include
Hydration: Drink at least 2.5–3 liters of lukewarm or room-temperature water daily. Coconut water, barley water, coriander seed water, or cumin seed decoction — natural urinary cleansers. Light, easily digestible meals like moong dal soup, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, ash gourd, carrots, beetroot. Cow ghee (1 tsp daily) to balance Pitta and promote internal healing.
❌ Avoid
Spicy, sour, fried, fermented foods. Coffee, alcohol, and packaged drinks. Holding urine for long, or excessive heat exposure. Synthetic undergarments — prefer cotton and keep the area dry and clean.
✅LOCAL AND PREVENTIVE CARE
Wash intimate area twice daily with Triphala decoction (avoid chemical washes). Apply a pinch of turmeric with coconut oil externally if itching or irritation occurs. During menses, maintain hygiene and avoid cold food or heavy exertion.
👉If white discharge persists beyond 4–6 weeks, consider: Urine routine & culture to rule out resistant infection. Pelvic ultrasound to check for any local pathology (like chronic cervicitis).
With consistent Ayurvedic care, you can achieve long-term relief — not only from infection but from the internal imbalance that causes it.
Wishing you a good health😊
Warm regards, Dr. Snehal Vidhate

HELLO,
You mentioned -UTI (burning, frequent urination) for about 10days -white discharge for about 1 month -you’ve taken antibiotics and alkasol
This suggests that the infection or irritation in your urinary and reproductive tract has not completely resolved. In Ayurveda, this is described as a combination of two disorders
1)MUTRAKRICCHRA= urinary tract infection -Mutra= urine, Kricchra= difficulty -It means painful, burning or difficulty urination due to pitta and ama (toxins) imbalance
2) SHVETA PRADARA= WHITE VAGINAL DISCHARGE -Shveta= white, Pradara = excessive flow -it refers to excess vagal secretion that may be due to kapha and vata imbalance -often occurs when digestion is weak, or there is chronic infection or hormonal imbalance
Ayurveda believes disease starts when the body’s internal balance gets disturbed PITTA= causes burning urination, redness, irritation
KAPHA= causes thick white discharge, stickiness
VATA= causes pain, dryness, irregularity
SUPPORTING FACTORS -repeated antibiotic use-> disturbs digestive fire -low immunity -> allows infection to recur -dehydration or improper diet->irritates urinary tract -stress and irregular sleep-> aggravates vata
TREATMENT GOALS -remove infection and inflamation -reduce discharge and irritation -rebuild urianry and vaginal tissue health -improve digestion and immunity -prevent future recurrence

For a UTI persisting after a course of antibiotics and accompanied by a white discharge, a dual approach may be beneficial. Let’s adress both the urinary and white discharge issues, which may relate to vaginitis or bodily imbalances.
First, ensure proper hydration. Drink warm water throughout the day; staying well-hydrated assists urinary tract health. Substitute caffeinated drinks with herbal teas like coriander seed tea. Boil 1 tsp of coriander seeds in water, steep and drink twice daily.
Diet plays a crucial role. Emphasize on a diet that’s light, yet nourishing, favoring cooked vegetables and whole grains. Avoid spicy and fried foods, these may irritate the bladder lining. Include ayurvedic spices such as cumin and fennel in meals, which can bolster digestion and eliminate toxins.
For the white discharge, an imbalance in apana vata (energy governing elimination) is often at play. Fenugreek seeds soaked in water overnight, and consumed on an empty stomach might balance hormonal functions and aid in reducing discharge. It’s also worth considering daily intake of triphala, known to improve auraveda balances by cleansing and nourishing the system; take 1 tsp before going to bed, mixed in warm water.
Practices like yoga, particularly twists that enhance digestion and pelvic circulation, gently encourage natural balance within body’s systems. Asanas such as Bhujangasana and Balasana can provide relief by reducing tension and improving flow.
Overall, observing these adjustments for 2-3 weeks may bring balance. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor to assess if further interventions are necessary. Long-term issues may require specialized attention, so keep monitoring symptoms closely.
