Hello I completely understand your concern. Having multiple skin tags — especially around visible areas like the neck or under the eyes — can be both cosmetically distressing and physically uncomfortable. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊
You mentioned that the tags have been present for over a year and have increased with mild weight gain. This indicates a deeper metabolic and dosha imbalance, rather than a purely local issue.
✅AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT
✅INTERNAL MEDICATION
1 Triphala Guggulu 1 tablet twice daily after food with warm water (Reduces fat metabolism and detoxifies blood)
2 Arogyavardhini Vati 1 tablet twice daily after food (Improves liver function and removes skin impurities)
3 Gandhak Rasayan 1 tablet twice daily after food (Acts as Rasayana for skin; purifies Rakta Dhatu)
4 Kanchanar Guggulu 1 tablet twice daily after food (Helpful in dissolving benign growths and glandular swellings)
These formulations together pacify Kapha and Medo Dushti, improve skin tone, and prevent the formation of new tags.
✅EXTERNAL APPLICATION
Kanchanar Guggulu Paste – Crush a tablet, mix with rose water or aloe-vera gel, apply locally for 15–20 minutes, then wash off.
Karanja Taila – Apply once daily to prevent infection and reduce itching or irritation.
Laksha Churna + Lemon Juice Paste – For smaller tags, once every 2–3 days to help dry them.
Avoid cutting or tying the tags at home; it can cause infection or scarring.
✅DIET MODIFICATION
✅ Include:
Bitter and astringent foods – neem leaves, methi, karela, drumstick, bottle gourd Fresh fruits (pomegranate, apple, papaya) Barley, millets, and old rice Plenty of warm water and herbal teas (Triphala or Neem decoction once weekly)
❌ Avoid:
Oily, fried, and sugary foods Excess dairy (curd, cheese, butter) White flour, junk food, cold drinks, and preserved foods
✅ LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION
Maintain healthy body weight; include brisk walking or Surya Namaskar daily.
Avoid friction around the neck and underarms (tight ornaments or clothing).
Bathe daily using lukewarm water infused with Neem Leaves.
Practice Kapalabhati Pranayama and Anulom Vilom for improved metabolism.
Manage stress through meditation and adequate sleep.
✅HOME REMEDIES
1. Apple Cider Vinegar Dab: Apply diluted ACV with cotton on small tags for 10–15 minutes, then rinse.
2. Castor Oil + Turmeric Paste: Apply locally to reduce irritation and dry out tags.
3. Fresh Aloe Vera Gel: Soothes the skin and prevents new tag formation.
(If any irritation occurs, discontinue the remedy immediately.)
✅ Prevention
Maintain ideal body weight. Keep folds and creases of the skin dry and clean.

First, removal of skin tags can be approached through a few simple Ayurvedic remedies, but first, let’s understand what’s causing them. These are benign growths often related to an imbalance in the body’s Kapha dosha. Also, factors like friction from clothing, obesity, and insulin resistance can play roles. For direct removal, try applying castor oil mixed with baking soda to create a thick paste. This can be applied on the skin tags twice a day — morning and evening. Cover with a bandage if needed. This remedy works by drying out the tags, eventually causing them to fall off.
Another method could be applying a little bit of diluted tea tree oil daily. This requires caution though; use a few drops of tea tree oil in a tablespoon of water, apply with a cotton ball and leave it on. It requires patience since results can take weeks. Do ensure your skin is not sensitive to tea tree oil by performing a patch test first.
Now, about preventing new ones! Maintaining a balance in the doshas, particularly by reducing excess Kapha, is essential. Incorporate more Kapha pacifying foods in your diet — light and dry foods like leafy greens, a variety of vegetables, ginger, and herbal teas. Avoid cold and oily food, which can contribute to Kapha imbalance.
Regular physical activity, stress management, and a balanced diet are important Preventive measures. Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins, as improper elimination may also contribute to skin growths. Maintaining a healthy weight can reduce friction on certain areas, too.
Remember, if any skin tags are bothering you, particularly the one near your eye, it’s always safest to consult a healthcare professional — especially if they’re numerous or changing in appearance. While Ayurvedic methods are gentle and effective, professional advice can help ensure they’re managed safely.
