Night time, wheezing that started after delivery along with morning allergies, repeated cold, cough, and gas issues usually comes from a combination of weak lung immunity vata kapha imbalance, and postpartum digestive weakness that never fully recovered when digestion stays irregular kapha in the chest and throat at night, causing mucus, blog, nose, and repeated morning, allergic symptoms You can follow this plan for 6 to 8 weeks Vasavaleha 1 teaspoon twice daily after food Sithophaladi churna + Yasthimadhu churna half teaspoon each with honey, twice daily Trikatu churna pinch before meals once or twice daily Haridra khand of teaspoon with warm water after meals Drink warm water throughout the day Avoid cold drinks, curd at night and refrigerator, oily fried food Steam inhalation daily Avoid sleeping immediately after dinner Reduce banana bakery items and milk in the evening Include ginger, black pepper, turmeric, and ajwain in cooking Avoid skipping meals
Considering the symptoms like wheezing and coughing, the condition you’re experiencing could be influenced by Vata and Kapha imbalances, especially post-pregnancy. Such conditions might require you to balance these doshas with appropriate dietary and lifestyle changes.
Firstly, integrate warm and light foods, like soups and broths, which help soothe Vata and balance Kapha. Avoid cold, heavy, and processed foods that might aggravate kapha and increase mucus production. The use of spices such as ginger, pepper, and turmeric in cooking might help warm and stimulate digestion, reducing ama (toxins).
Your digestion seems compromised as indicated by gas issues. Enhancing agni, the digestive fire, could be crucial. A daily mix of freshly grated ginger with a pinch of salt taken before meals can stimulate digestion. Also, consuming warm water throughout the day helps maintain metabolic balance.
Breathing exercises, such as deep abdominal breathing or ‘Nadi Shodhana’ can open up the air passages, they could be incorporated into your daily routine to enhance respiratory function. These exercises might be performed first thing in the morning upon waking.
Consider using steam inhalation with a few drops of eucalyptus oil or holy basil (Tulsi) leaves, inhalation might provide relief from nasal congestion and wheezing.
For morning allergies, try to keep your environment free of dust and allergens, and consider using a neti pot with saline water to rinse nasal passages. This practice possibly clears allergens.
If symptoms escalate or persist, it’s crucial to seek medical advice, as respiratory issues should not be taken lightly. Combining Ayurvedic measures with necessary modern medical care when needed ensures holistic and safe management of your condition.
