They help to minimize the appearance of enlarged pores and remove excess oil.

Exfoliation should be done, but not too frequently. Once or twice a week, use a homemade scrub with ingredients like ground rice flour mixed with sandalwood powder and a bit of milk, helping to remove dead skin cells that make you skin look dull. Keep in mind, don’t over-exfoliate as it might exacerbate oil production.

Regular face masks can be prepared using fuller’s earth (Multani Mitti) mixed with rose water. This mask should help in absorbing excess oil, thus improving skin texture and reducing pores. Applying it twice a week should suffice.

Practice regular Pranayama and Yoga to balance mind and body, which will also help in reducing stress that may contribute to skin imbalances. Incorporate poses such as Sarvangasana and Matsyasana which enhance circulation and help cleanse the skin.

Given the nature of skin concerns associated with oily skin, regular hydration, using a light, non-comedogenic moisturizer is crucial. This helps maintain the skin’s balance without clogging pores. Always consider using sun protection before stepping out, to prevent further dark spot formation due to sun exposure. Additionally, stay hydrated and ensure good sleep hygiene, as they play a role in maintaining healthy skin.
