I’ve been living with rheumatoid arthritis for about 5 years, and over time, the pain and inflammation have only gotten worse. My joints, especially in my hands and knees, hurt a lot, and I find it difficult to do even simple tasks like gripping a pen or walking for long periods. I’ve tried various medications, but they don’t seem to provide much relief, and I’m worried about the long-term side effects. I’ve heard about rheumatoid arthritis Ayurvedic treatments that focus on reducing inflammation and improving joint health, like herbal remedies, oils, and specific diets. Is it possible to manage or even reverse rheumatoid arthritis with Ayurvedic therapies? What are some of the most effective Ayurvedic treatments for this condition? Instead, focus on warm, easily digestible meals like khichdi, with spices like ginger and turmeric tossed in. These spices can really help to ignite agni — that’s your digestive fire — so ama doesn’t get a chance to stick around.

External therapies can be super effective too. Regular abhyanga (oil massage) with warm sesame oil or Mahanarayan oil can nourish tissues and support flexibility. Try doing it early morning before your shower or bath, once or twice a week.
