Doctors’ responses
Hi Nimesh,
Can you please elaborate about your concerns? 1. How long have you had these concerns? 2. How does your daily diet look like? 3. How are your stress levels? 4. Do you also experience rectal bleeding?
Your symptoms suggest chronic digestive imbalance, possibly due to Pitta and Vata aggravation. Do you experience burning pain, mucus in stool, or bloating after meals? How is your stress level and diet pattern? Ayurveda focuses on reducing inflammation, healing the gut, and improving digestion. But please elaborate your symptoms to give a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment.
Dealing with fissures, diverticulitis, minor colitis and all that other digestive stuff, it’s quite tough, really. These could be linked to aggravated Pitta or Vata doshas. But let’s break it down a bit to help.
For fissures, focus on hydration and lubrication. Drinking warm water throughout the day can help, maybe add a tsp of ghee in milk at night. Adds a ton of lubrication, believe it or not. Plus, make friends with triphala powder—take a teaspoon at bedtime. It’s magical for digestion and might ease, you know, the fissure discomfort.
Now, diverticulitis and colitis are signs of inflammation. Stick to a Pitta-pacifying diet—mild, less spicy foods. Steamed veggies like zucchini and organic red rice can calm your gut. Avoid heavy, processed stuff, it’ll just mess with you even more.
With acidity and gas, it’s crucial to protect your digestive fire, or agni. Start mornings with a piece of ginger, a tiny slice, with a pinch of rock salt and warm water. It’s fiery but soothing if that makes sense. Stay away from cold beverages right before and after meals. That takes a toll on your agni.
For inflammation, turmeric milk in the evening works wonders—a pinch of turmeric in warm milk. Just don’t overdo it, it can be intense.
Keep your meals regular and don’t skip 'em. Stress management’s also a huge deal, so consider some daily breathing exercises or light yoga to get the body moving and mind clear.
And seriously, if things get worse, or persists, don’t wait too long—consult a doctor who can merge Ayurveda with conventional treatments if needed. Immediate medical care can sometimes be the wisest move.
Small changes, consistently made, often see big shifts. But, that’s just me talkin’.
