Allergies can be a real twist, right? To start, Ayurveda sees allergies as a result of imbalanced doshas, often primarily Pitta or Kapha. It’s a good step to realign these by scrutinizing your diet and lifestyle. Your concern seems pinned around food allergies and elevated IgE. First, consider your diet. Try integrating light and warm foods that calm digestive fire (Agni), such as basmati rice, mung dal, or steamed veggies like zucchini, carrots. These are not just about comfort, they help PItta too. The trick here’s to avoid heavy, spicy, oily foods which can aggravate your doshas even more. Now, when it comes to the herbs, you might think about Triphala or Guduchi. They’re known to help detoxify the body, restore balance to the digestive system. Simply mix half teaspoon of Triphala powder with lukewarm water and take before bed. But always remember, a consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting new herbs is key, as they’ll ensure those align with your body constitution (Prakriti). Staying hydrated is crucial. You’d want to sip on warm water rather than cold throughout the day, aiding Agni. Oh!, and small sips, not gulps. Teas made from turmeric, ginger, or licorice may assist too. Lifestyle-wise, practice breathing exercises or Pranayama, specifically Nadi Shodhana, which can regulate airflow and cleanse nasal passages, bringing your body into harmony. Attempt to meditate regularly. Even stressing about an allergy can boost symptoms, a calm mind may reduce reactions, remarkably. In terms of reintroducing foods, once your allergens are managed, reinstate them mildly, see how your body responds. Known as elimination-test, it’s wisest done in small steps, possibly under medical supervision. In severe cases or if you notice trouble breathing or a swollen face, seek urgent medical support. Yet with mindful adjustments, balance slowly returns. Always staying cautious, right?
