Understanding the body’s hormonal balance through Ayurveda can certainly be intricate, especially when tackling issues like infertility and amenorrhea. When the Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) level is notably low, as it seems to be in your case, it’s often viewed through the Ayurvedic lens by considering the doshas and the channels of the body (shrotas) involved in reproductive health.
First, consider the dominant doshas at play. Often, Vata imbalance is significantly associated with challenges like irregular or absent periods. The key is to pacify Vata, nurturing and stabilizing its movement. Warm, grounding, and nourishing dietary habits are essential. Aim to include cooked, moist and oil-enriched meals. Food like, whole grains, healthy fats such as ghee and sesame oil, and warming spices like ginger and cumin can be beneficial.
Regularized meal times stablize agni (digestive fire), a crucial step for hormone balance. Remember, dysfunctional agni can contribute to toxin accumulation (ama), which may disrupt hormonal pathways.
Lifestyle adjustments also play a pivotal role: Consider routine not too rigid, but one’s which promote relaxation and awareness. Practices like Abhyanga (self-massage with warm oil, preferably sesame), enhance circulation and provide grounding energy. Furthermore, gentle exercises — such as yoga’s Shavasana, Balasana, and Sukhasana — can promote relaxation while keeping the mind centred.
Herbs known for their capacity to support female reproductive health might also offer some support. Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is revered for its cooling and nourishing properties. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) can also be useful, providing resilience against stress that might impact hormonal balance. However, it’s essential having personalized guidance from a trained practitioner when introducing these into your routine.
Yet, given the nature of your condition, prioritize a consultation with a healthcare professional who can ensure an integrative approach. While Ayurveda provides profound insights, integrating it with medical advice ensures safety and comprehensiveness, especially when considering absent menstrual cycles for extended periods. Always consider that immediate medical guidance should preceded when necessary!
