Losing 10 kg in three months requires a focused, balanced approach and consistency. In Ayurvedic terms, weight gain often relates to Kapha dosha imbalance, and it’s crucial to address this through diet, lifestyle revisions, and routines that support healthy Agni, your digestive fire. Begin your day with a glass of warm water, adding a small amount of lemon juice. This helps kickstart metabolism. Breakfast should be light and energizing—consider oatmeal or a warm, spiced vegetable soup. Aim for something without much added sugar or processed elements. Mid-morning, you can have a piece of fruit. Opt for something seasonal rather than tropical fruits like bananas, which can increase Kapha. For lunch, which should be your biggest meal, focus on complex carbohydrates like quinoa, brown rice, or a mixed vegetable stew. Make sure it’s loaded with spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric; these spices aid digestion and rev up metabolism. Include a portion of lean protein like lentils or chickpeas. Ensure veggies form a big part of your meal—they’re low in calories but keep you full. By 4 PM, when daytime digestion tends to slow down, green tea or herbal concoctions, with ginger and tulsi, are great options to cleanse any build-up. Dinner should be light and eaten at least two to three hours before you sleep. Soup or stew with whole grains and steamed vegetables could suffice. Avoid snacking, but if it's unavoidable, go for makhana or a small handful of nuts. Remember not to consume heavy to digest or oily foods. Ensure you're not skipping any meals—Ayurveda places importance on a consistent eating schedule. Lifestyle-wise, daily exercise is important—whether it's a brisk walk for 30-45 minutes or a yoga practice. Try to maintain regular sleep hours, which supports your body clock, and helps in weight balance. Practicing stress management through meditation or pranayama may also contribute to overall balance. Finally, consider visiting an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized herb recommendations, as herbs like Triphala or Guggul can support in weight management when used appropriately. Bear in mind, safety is paramount, and before you start any supplement, consult with a healthcare practitioner, especially if you have existing health conditions.
