To address your concerns about hair fall and slow hair growth, it’s important to understand that hair health in Ayurveda is closely linked with the balance of doshas, particularly Pitta dosha. An imbalance in Pitta can lead to hair problems like excessive hair fall and premature graying. Here are some steps that might help you.

First, take a look at your diet. Emphasize Pitta-pacifying foods which include sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes. Incorporate cooling foods like cucumber, coriander, cilantro, and aloe vera juice in your daily intake. Avoid spicy, fried, and overly salty food, as these can aggravate Pitta dosha and exacerbate hair issues.

Next, consider some herbal remedies. Amla (Indian gooseberry) is excellent for promoting hair growth and preventing premature graying. You can consume it in powder form mixed with water or as a juice. Bhringaraj (Eclipta alba) oil is known for its powerful hair rejuvenating properties; massage this into your scalp regularly for best results.

Improving your body’s Agni, or digestive fire, is also crucial, as it can affect nutrient absorption impacting hair health. Drinking warm water throughout the day, consuming ginger tea before meals, and including spices like turmeric and cumin in your cooking can enhance your digestive power.

For lifestyle, ensure adequate sleep and manage stress as they significantly affect hair health. Practicing yoga, meditation, or breathing exercises such as pranayama can help maintain tranquility and hormonal balance, supporting better hair quality.

Oil massages with coconut or almond oil works well to strengthen hair follicles and enhance blood circulation in the scalp. Gently massage your scalp for 10-15 minutes before washing to allow the oil to penetrate.

Finally, patience is key. These remedies typically take time to show results; consistent practice should offer improvement. If your condition continues without betterment, consulting with an Ayurvedic doctor for a more personalized treatment might be beneficial.
