I am really struggling with hair fall lately, and it’s driving me nuts! I never thought I’d have to worry about this at my age. Last month, after noticing more strands on my pillow and in the shower, I did some tests and everything came back kinda normal, but my hair just keeps thinning. A friend recommended some Ayurvedic oils, but I'm so confused about which oil is best for hair fall control. I've tried coconut oil and almond oil before, but not sure they're doing enough, or maybe I'm not using them correctly? I read somewhere that some oils can actually make a difference, like maybe bhringraj or maybe amla oil? Ugh, I see so many opinions online, and it’s hard to know which oil is best for hair fall control. Would love to hear about any personal experiences or recommendations! Just don't want to waste more time or money on stuff that doesn’t work! Any suggestions are super appreciated.

When it comes to tackling hair fall through Ayurveda, it’s really about going for the oils that balance your dosha and nourish the scalp. Bhringraj oil is a standout for this. Known as the “king of herbs” for hair care in Ayurveda, this oil is excellent at promoting hair growth by boosting blood cirulation to the scalp. It is believed to strengthen hair roots and prevent premature graying too. Applying bhringraj oil twice a week, gently massaging it onto your scalp and leaving it overnight before washing can help nourish the hair follicles.

Amla oil is another robust option. Packed with natural vitamin C and antioxidants, amla oil is often recommended for those facing hair fall. It can encourage stronger hair and keep the scalp healthy. for best results, warm a little bit of the oil and apply it once or twice a week, leaving it on the scalp at least for a couple of hours before washing off.

Coconut oil, which you’ve tried before, has many benefits but adding some drops of essential oils like rosemary or peppermint can increase its efficacy against hair fall. These oils can up regulate blood flow to your scalp, enhancing hair growth.

Remember, consistency is key with ayurvedic treatments. Alongside the topical treatments, ensure your diet isn’t neglecting essential fats, proteins and micronutrients-important for healthy hair. Stress and sleep - often overlooked - can also play a major part. Practice Pranayama or meditation to keep stress in check.

Vata imbalances can contribute to hair troubles. Adding more warm, moist foods to your diet and minimizing consumption of dry, cold foods can help on this front. Milk, ghee, sesame seeds, avocados and nuts can suppoert healthy hair by pacifying Vata dosha.

This isn’t all instant magic – it usually takes some weeks to months for visible results, but these oils align with your body’s natural healing processes, which in turn can genuinely address your concerns in a holistic way!
