Dr. Manjula
I am a dedicated Ayurveda practitioner with a deep-rooted passion for restoring health through traditional Ayurvedic principles. My clinical approach revolves around understanding the unique constitution (Prakruti) and current imbalance (Vikruti) of each individual. I conduct comprehensive consultations that include Prakruti-Vikruti Pareeksha, tongue examination, and other Ayurvedic diagnostic tools to identify the underlying causes of disease, rather than just addressing symptoms. My primary focus is on balancing the doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—through individualized treatment plans that include herbal medicines, therapeutic diets, and lifestyle modifications. I believe that healing begins with alignment, and I work closely with my patients to bring the body, mind, and spirit into harmony using personalized, constitution-based interventions. Whether managing chronic conditions or guiding preventive health, I aim to empower patients through Ayurvedic wisdom, offering not just relief but a sustainable path to well-being. My practice is rooted in authenticity, guided by classical Ayurvedic texts and a strong commitment to ethical, patient-centered care. I take pride in helping people achieve long-term health outcomes by integrating ancient knowledge with a modern, practical approach. Through continuous learning and close attention to every detail in diagnosis and treatment, I strive to deliver meaningful, natural, and effective results for all my patients.

Hello, It is good to know that you are a BAMS student. Weight loss is a journey which need to be carefully planned so that it happens gradually. Sticking to a particular plan for a long time is the key. The following will help you a lot: 1. Take to a good exercise routine on everyday basis 2. Avoid eating out, junk food, red meat 3. Eat salad for dinner 4. Do not eat/ opt for light to digest food if you are not hungry 5. Opt for udwarthanam followed by swedanam for 7 days along with: 6. Medohara guggulu 2----0----2 for 90 days. 7. Gandharvahastadi kashayam 20ml---0-----20ml(during udwartahna days) Take care. Kind regards.

Understanding weight gain from an Ayurvedic perspective starts with recognizing how your body and mind interact with food and lifestyle. Weight gain, like yours, often involves a kapha dosha imbalance, which can lead to sluggish metabolism and difficulty shedding excess weight. Here's how you can begin to address these issues: First, it’s essential to wake up early, ideally around sunrise. Kapha time is heavy and sluggish, so engaging in a stimulating morning routine helps to counterbalance this. Start with a glass of warm water infused with a slice of lime to ignite your digestion. In terms of diet, consider reducing heavy kapha-increasing foods like dairy, fatty foods, and excess sweets. Instead, incorporate light, warming and dry foods to stimulate your digestion. Focus on incorporating more spicy, bitter, and astringent tastes such as turmeric, ginger, and leafy greens. These add heat and induce a natural cleansing process. It’s essential to stick to regular meal times to maintain the balance of your agni, or digestive fire. Eating your largest meal around noon when your digestive fire is at its peak is advisable; keep dinner light and consume at least two hours before sleep. For physical activity, introduce invigorating exercises like brisk walking, jogging, or yoga. Surya Namaskar is particularly effective as it harmonizes your entire system. Aim for at least 30 minutes of activity daily, as movement fundamentally aids in managing kapha. Herbs may also assist. Consider the use of Triphala, a traditional Ayurvedic remedy, to support digestion and elimination. A teaspoon of Triphala powder taken with warm water before bedtime can help maintain the digestive tract. Pay attention to sleep patterns, too – aim for 7-8 hours, and avoid napping during the day to prevent kapha accumulation. Remember to listen to your body's signals, adjusting your habits accordingly. If weight reduction remains challenging, professional Ayurvedic consultation might offer a personalized assessment, ensuring all health factors are considered. In serious instances, seek medical advice alongside your Ayurvedic practices to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
