Everest Rasonadi Kashyam - #28220

William

I am worried about this persistent cough I've had for weeks now, and honestly, it's driving me nuts! Been feeling super fatigued too, like I can't get enough sleep no matter what I do. A friend mentioned Everest Rasonadi Kashyam and swears by it for immunity and respiratory issues. But I dunno... I'm not sure if it's even the right thing for me. Had some tests done, and doc said there's nothing major but I still just feel off. I came across Everest Rasonadi Kashyam online, and almost tempted to give it a try. I'm just not really sure how it works or if it’s safe for someone like me, ya know? I'm also a little confused about dosages and if I should mix it with something else. Just last week I was feeling better, but then back to square one again. Is Everest Rasonadi Kashyam meant for everyone's type of cough? Like, is there even a specific cough it's best for? Would love to hear if anyone here has actually used Everest Rasonadi Kashyam for something similar. Does it really help? I'm getting kinda desperate, not gonna lie, and would appreciate any advice or stories.

Doctors' responses

Everest Rasonadi Kashyam, as your friend suggested, is an Ayurvedic formulation primarily used for respiratory ailments, including persistent coughs. This tonic is crafted to balance Kapha dosha, which is generally associated with respiratory and phlegm-related issues. It can be helpful in building immunity and alleviating fatigue by supporting your digestive fire, or Agni, enhancing nutrient absorption and energy levels.

However, before incorporating this, it’s essential to ensure that the cough doesn’t result from any other underlying cause, like allergies or acid reflux, despite your doctor saying ‘nothing major’. Since every individual’s constitution (prakriti) differs, the response to such preparations also varies. While it’s generally safe for Kapha-related symptoms such as excess mucus production, it’s crucial to consider your specific dosha imbalance.

For dosage, the typical recommendation is 15 to 30 milliliters taken twice a day, ideally on an empty stomach or as directed by an Ayurvedic practitioner. You can dilute it with an equal amount of warm water. Consistency is important, so consuming it daily for a few weeks would allow its therapeutic properties to take effect.

Do not mix it with other herbal concoctions unless guided by an expert, as this could either dilute its effectiveness or cause imbalance. Also, ensure adequate hydration and warm, nourishing foods like soups or khichadi to support healing.

If you’re not seeing improvement, consider reassessment by an Ayurvedic expert who can tailor a specific regimen. Not every cough responds to this formula, especially if it stems from a completely different dosha imbalance or another medical condition. In your case, if the fatigue and cough persist or worsen, further examination might be necessary to rule out any deeper health issues, even if they seem minor now.

Everest Rasonadi Kashyam could potentially be helpful for your persistent cough, especially since it’s designed to address respiratory issues. However, it’s vital to approach Ayurvedic remedies with a holistic view. In the Siddha-Ayurvedic tradition, a persistent cough may indicate an imbalance, possibly in the kapha dosha, leading to accumulation in the respiratory system. Rasonadi Kashyam, generally recognized for its role in restoring balance to vata and kapha doshas, might aid in clearing excess mucus and supporting respiratory health.

Regarding dosage, typical use is about 15 to 20 ml of the kashayam diluted with an equal amount of warm water, twice daily, before meals. But always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized recommendations, as they can tailor the dosage and combination specifically to your constitution and symptoms.

Considering your fatigue, ensure your agni, or digestive fire, is functioning well by eating warm, easily digestible foods, and drink warm water rather than cold. Avoid excessive dairy as it might contribute to mucous formation. Include ginger tea, which can soothe the throat and stimulate digestive efficiency.

While Rasonadi Kashyam may help ease respiratory discomfort, it’s not universally effective for all cough types, particularly if the root imbalance isn’t addressed. If symptoms persist or worsen, re-consult your healthcare provider. Ensuring safety, when in doubt, is paramount. If you notice any adverse symptoms or if your condition significantly worsens, seek immediate medical attention. This way, you’ll be integrating traditional insights with modern medicinal practice, supporting a comprehensive healing process.
