Premature ejaculation and difficulties with maintaining a firm erection is a common issue, and both can be approached with Ayurvedic principles that focus on balancing your doshas, particularly Vata, and ensuring optimal Agni (digestive fire).

Firstly, understand that premature ejaculation is often connected to Vata imbalance. This imbalance can be exacerbated by stress, erratic routines and even diet. Consider incorporating more grounding foods into your diet such as root vegetables, warm, nourishing dishes and spices like cumin and cardamom. These help in stabilizing Vata.

Ashwagandha, a renowned adaptogen, is recommended. Take it in powder form, about 5 grams a day with warm milk before bed—it’s known for its calming properties and ability to improve stamina and overall vitality. Mucuna pruriens (kapikachhu) is another herb known to support sexual health. You can take it in a similar fashion with warm milk.

Maintaining a consistent daily routine is grately beneficial, rising and going to bed at the same time each day reinforces your body’s natural rhythms and supporting balance. Engage in daily Abhyanga (self-massage) with sesame oil; it can be calming to the nervous system and help reduce anxiety, which often contributes to performance issues.

For the difficulty you face with erection firmness after initial ejaculation, it could relate to Pitta imbalance. Monitor triggers like spicy food, alcohol or excessive heat as these can aggravate Pitta. Regular practice of cooling breathing exercises like Shitali or Sheetkari pranayam might help.

Avoid excessive performance pressure on yourself, which can lead to mental stress. Yoga postures like Supta Baddha Konasana or Savasana is helpful and supports mental relaxation, also promoting overall balance.

If these symptoms persist, a personalized consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner or a healthcare provider may provide further insights tailored to your unique constitution and needs.
