Request for Ayurvedic Support with Mental Health and Skin - #32137
Dear Doctor, My name is Katherine, I’m 22 years old, and I am very anxious but reaching out in hopes of finding some holistic support. I have been struggling for years with multiple challenges, both mental health and physical. My Diagnosed Conditions: • Major Depressive Disorder • Generalized Anxiety Disorder • Insomnia • Nightmare Disorder • Social Phobia • Mood dysregulation • Paranoia (recent episodes) • Cystic Acne There is also a history of mental illness in my family. Current Medications: • Abilify (aripiprazole) • Zoloft (sertraline) • Buspar (buspirone) • Mirtazapine I am under psychiatric care and do not want to stop my medications, but I am still suffering and would like to explore whether Ayurveda can safely support me — especially with my anxiety, depression, sleep, mood swings, and acne. My Questions for You: 1. Can Ayurvedic treatment be combined safely with the medications I’m taking? 2. What diet, herbs, or lifestyle changes would you recommend for someone in my situation? 3. Are there safe Ayurvedic approaches for paranoia, nightmares, and cystic acne? 4. Do you offer online consultations, and could we start with something gentle and supportive? I would be very grateful for your guidance. I am feeling overwhelmed but hopeful that Ayurveda may help me heal more deeply. With gratitude, Katherine Korolev

Hello, 1. Yes… it is safe to take ayurveda medicines with the current prescription you shared. 2. The diet and lifestyle modification which involves incorporation of yogasana-pranayama practices aid in the effective management of your condition; but to decide on that one need to understand your prakruti(body constitution), the dosha imbalances, which requires one on one consultation. 3. Yes…online consultation is possible as you rightly said it should be gentle start and it is a long journey. Take care, Kind regards.
