Your symptoms suggest an imbalance of Pitta and Vata doshas, contributing to both digestive and inflammatory issues. Addressing these will require dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, and some specific remedies. Here’s what can be helpful:

1. Dietary Modifications: Since you have difficulty digesting spicy food and certain legumes like tur dal, consider replacing them with more soothing options. Include moong dal instead, as it’s lighter and easier to digest. Your meals should consist of cooling and hydrating foods such as cucumbers, zucchini and asparagus. Avoid hot, spicy, and oily food, which can aggravate acidity and inflammation. Use spices like fennel, coriander, and cumin, which enhance digestion without increasing heat.

2. Acidity and Indigestion: Start your day with warm water infused with a bit of lemon juice and honey to maintain a balanced agni (digestive fire). After meals, a teaspoon of amla (Indian gooseberry) powder mixed with water can help soothe the digestive tract and reduce acidity. Consider also chewing on fennel seeds after meals to support digestion.

3. Inflammation and Joint Pain: To address joint pains, consider incorporating a gentle yoga practice, focusing on stretches for the neck, shoulders, and knees. Abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil can also help balance Vata and relieve joint stiffness.

4. Herbal Support: Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari can be beneficial. Ashwagandha helps with inflammation and stress, while Shatavari aids digestion and supports restful sleep. You can take them in powder or capsule form, based on availability.

5. Daily Practices for Better Sleep: Establish a calming bedtime routine. Drinking warm almond milk with a pinch of nutmeg can promote restful sleep. Additionally, practice deep breathing or meditation to calm Vata dosha before bed.

These suggestions should align well with your current lifestyle and condition. However, persistent or severe symptoms warrant consultation with a healthcare professional to rule out any serious conditions.

Your condition appears to be linked to an aggravated pitta and vata imbalance which can affect both digestion and joint health. For managing the acidity and improving your digestion, start by avoiding spicy and oily foods which can inflame pitta. Instead, try consuming smaller meals, spaced throughout the day to avoid overwhelming the digestive system. Incorporate cooling foods like cucumber, muskmelon, and coconut water regularly into your diet to help cool down excess pitta.

For indigestion and acidity issues, integrating Ajwain (carom seeds) can be beneficial. Boil a teaspoon of these seeds in water and sip this concoction after meals to help ease acidity. Also, consider taking Amlaki Churna (Indian Gooseberry powder) with warm water or honey, as it’s known for its balancing effect on pitta dosha. Engage in gentle physical activity post meals, such as a slow, short walk to stimulate the digestive process.

To address joint pain and vata issues, regular oil massages with warm sesame oil are recommended. This can both lubricate the joints and help pacify vata dosha. Be sure to maintain a comfortable temperature in your living space, as cold winds or damp conditions can aggravate vata. Practicing pranayama such as Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) can also help balance vata.

Hydration plays a crucial role; ensure you’re consuming enough water throughout the day. Spacing your water intake evenly is crucial as excessive consumption during meals might actually dilute agni, which is your digestive fire. Avoid drinking cold water as it can disrupt digestion.

Also, incorporating triphala at night can assist in detoxifying the digestive system and improving bowel movements. If your symptoms persist or you experience intense chest pain or difficulty breathing, it is advised to seek immediate medical attention as these may be signs of a more serious condition.
