how to increase sex performance - #38185

Henry

I am really concerned about something that's been bothering me for a while. Lately, I’ve noticed that my sex performance has kinda dropped off and it’s honestly frustrating. I mean, it wasn’t always this way. A few months ago, everything was fine, I had great endurance and everything was working like a charm. But now? I feel like I’m not satisfying my partner, and its really been eating away at me. One night, we tried something new, and I just couldn't keep up, felt embarrassed, and then couldn't shake that off. I've tried working out more, but despite all that, I still find myself lacking in energy when the moment arises. I read somewhere that some foods can help with improving performance but not sure what works best. Wondering if anyone can share tips or natural remedies on how to increase sex performance? Like, are there Ayurvedic herbs or practices that actually help? I feel kinda lost and want to get back to that confident place. Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks a ton!

Let’s unwrap Ayurveda to navigate what’s going wrong and how we get back your vitality. Start by centering on your lifestyle—balance is key here, an imbalance in the three doshas—vata, pitta, and kapha—can lead to performance issues. If your symptoms include lower energy or stamina, we might be looking at a vata or kapha imbalance. Anxiety and overthinking may point towards vata while sluggishness could be kapha-related.

Ayurveda emphasizes nourishing the shukra dhatu, which supports reproductive health. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are standout herbs in this department, known for boosting vigor and alleviating stress. To use, take Ashwagandha powder (500 mg) with warm milk daily—ideally in the morning, and Shatavari (500 mg) similarly in the evening.

Next, focus on diet, your agni or digestive fire needs to be strong. Foods that are nourishing and ‘rasayana’ or rejuvenating should be your mainstay. Think almonds, dates, and milk. Incorporate ghee, which promotes shukra dhatu. Ginger and black pepper can help kindle your agni—add them to meals or sips as they will help detoxify and increase metabolic energy.

Sleep is another fundamental pillar, at least 7-8 hours a night, it restores your body’s resources. Ayurvedic oil massage or Abhyanga, particularly with sesame oil which balances vata, can offer astounding relief—practice it once or twice weekly.

Behavioral modifications will also influence. Mindfulness and meditation help in calming the mind, reducing stress and performance anxiety. Practice deep breathing before intimate moments, turning focus inward and grounding yourself in the present.

Note that if symptoms persist or worsen, please consult an Ayurvedic practitioner or health specialist for more tailored guidance. Your body is remarkable, with intentional care it can return to its innate state of balance and strength.

When it comes to enhancing your sex performance using Ayurvedic principles, it’s important to first consider potential underlying imbalances that might be affecting your energy levels and stamina. From a Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, issues in sexual performance often relate to an imbalance in the doshas—particularly vata, which governs movements and energy flow, and potentially kapha if there’s a sense of heaviness or lethargy. Additionally, stress or mental strain, which can unbalance vata, may influence performance as well.

To approach this, let’s first look at diet. Incorporating foods that enhance ojas, your vital energy or essence, can be beneficial. Sattvic foods like almonds, walnuts, milk, ghee, and sesasme seeds are considered ojas-enhancing. Preparing a milk decoction with a teaspoon of ashwagandha powder at night can strengthen vitality and stamina. Ashwagandha as an adaptogen supports your body’s resilience to stress as well.

In terms of herbs, consider including shilajit, known for its rejuvenative properties, which may aid in improving strength and vigor. Chawanprash, a herbo-mineral preparation, traditionally aids in maintaining youthful energy. Make sure to consult with a practitioner for the right dosage and suitability regarding these herbs.

Daily practices such as yoga and pranayama can improve circulation and reduce stress, supporting balanced vata levels and enhancing energy. Bhramari pranayama, in particular, is soothing and balances the mind.

Ensure that your digestive fire, or agni, is not weak; poor digestion can affect energy levels and overall health. Consume warming spices like ginger and black pepper to bolster agni. Avoid heavy, oily, or fried foods that may suppress digestive fire.

Lastly, recognizing and addressing stressors in life is crucial, given their impact on vata. Set aside regular time for relaxation or meditation to help ground the mind.

Remember, these suggestions are not a substitute for seeing a medical professional. If you experience ongoing issues, it’s wise to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out underlying conditions.
