I am 16 and have been very curious about some stuff. I heard from a friend that does masturbation decrease height, and honestly, I'm kind of worried. I’m a bit on the shorter side already, like 5'4", and I really want to grow taller. I've noticed lately that when I feel stressed or just bored, I tend to do it more. I don’t feel bad about it, but now I keep thinking, “What if this is messing with my growth?” My older brother says it doesn’t affect height at all, but some websites say different things. Like, do people actually believe this? It feels like a lot of mixed messages. I've read articles suggesting it has hormonal impacts or whatever, impacting growth plates and all that. I’m just trying to figure out the truth in this. I’m also trying to eat healthily and exercise more, thinking that’ll help, but if this habit is really getting in the way, that’s super worrying.
