In your recovery journey from such extensive treatments, integrating ayurvedic principles can support your overall well-being. It’s great you’re already engaging in yoga and considering diet. Let’s focus on a few additional strategies that might be beneficial:

Begin by focusing on your Agni, or digestive fire, especially since treatments can affect appetite and digestion. Start your day with a gentle herbal tea such as ginger or fennel to stimulate digestion. If appetite is affected, small meals of warm, cooked foods are easier to digest and provide necessary nutrients. Include spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric which can improve digestion and also have anti-inflammatory properties.

Managing stress is crucial. Practicing Pranayama, specifically Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), can help calm the nervous system and cleanse energy pathways, promoting mental clarity. Aim for 10-15 minutes in the morning when the mind is fresh.

Consider incorporating Rasayana, or rejuvenative therapies, to rebuild strength. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb known for supporting immunity and reducing stress. However, it’s important to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to ensure it’s appropriate for your constitution and current treatments.

Skin and lymphatic system care can also be supportive. A daily Abhyanga (self-massage with warm sesame or coconut oil) helps improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, promoting toxin removal. Post-massage, take a warm shower and gently exfoliate the skin.

Ensure adequate rest and establish a consistent sleep routine, prioritizing 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Proper rest helps in recovery and maintaining hormonal balance.

Ayurveda also emphasizes the importance of a harmonious living environment. Incorporate elements of nature into living spaces with plants or gentle natural scents. Creating such a calming environment can assist in emotional well-being.

Finally, regular check-ins with your healthcare team to monitor your treatment journey is important to ensure your integrative approaches align well with your overall care plan.
