Doctors’ responses

Hello Albert, is your diet too spicy or salty ? Or do you sleep very late or poorly? These symptoms are due Pitta aggravation in the body according to Ayurveda. Don’t eat anything after 6pm. Have a light dinner with less spicy semi solid foods for few days. Avoid caffeine & alcohol. You can take Tab Laghu Sootshekar 1-1-1 after meals for a month with lukewarm water. Cap Yashtimadhu 1-0-1 after meals.

Experiencing a burning sensation in your stomach, along with difficulty sleeping at night, may indicate an imbalance in your digestive system, often related to excessive acidity or an aggravation of the Pitta dosha in Ayurveda. To better understand your condition and provide appropriate guidance, it would be helpful to know more about your dietary habits—what you typically eat in a day—along with any additional symptoms you may be experiencing, such as bloating, gas, nausea, or heartburn. Additionally, understanding your lifestyle factors, such as stress levels or recent routine changes, can be beneficial. If you are currently taking any medications or supplements, please share that information as well. This comprehensive understanding will allow for personalized remedies and lifestyle modifications to alleviate your discomfort effectively.

Sounds like you're experiencing quite a bit of discomfort, that's no fun at all. The burning sensation and excess stomach acid sound like signs of pitta imbalance in Ayurveda, especially when it's disrupting your sleep. Agni, or the digestive fire, might be too high right now. Let's focus on practical steps you can take, okay? First, try avoiding spicy, acidic foods and drinks - stuff like chili, tomatoes, caffeine, and alcohol. These could fuel that burning sensation. Instead, go for cooling, soothing options like aloe vera juice or coconut water. They can help calm that fiery pitta and cool down the acidity. How's your meal timing looking? Eating at irregular intervals might not be helping. Try to stick to regular meal times and include small, frequent meals. Eat your evening meal at least 2-3 hours before going to bed. This way your stomach has time to digest before you hit the sack. Potent digestion is good, but overeating or heavy meals right before bed, definitely not! It might irritate the stomach lining even more. Sip on some fennel seed tea or chamomile tea, which can be quite calming for the digestive system. Preparation's simple too: just steep a teaspoon of those seeds in hot water and sip slowly, especially after meals. Ever tried Triphala? This is an Ayurvedic remedy that balances the digestive fire without causing heat. You could take a teaspoon mixed in warm water, half an hour before bed. And hey, sometimes stress plays a big role, too. Incorporate some relaxation in your day. Could be a short walk, deep breathing, meditation, or just listening to some mellow tunes. If these self-care steps aren't bringing relief soon, don't wait to check in with a healthcare provider. It's always best to rule out anything serious. Get well soon!
