Hairfall and scalp concerns like yours are often linked to imbalances in the body, and Ayurveda sees this through the lens of doshas, mainly Vata and Pitta. When these doshas are imbalanced, they can affect the functioning of the scalp, hair follicles, and overall hair health. Vata imbalance can cause dryness and thinning, while Pitta imbalance leads to itching and dandruff.

You might start by focusing on managing stress, as it significantly contributes to Vata disturbance. Implement a daily routine that includes practices such as meditation or pranayama (breathing exercises) to calm the mind. Limit exposure to cold, windy environments, and protect your scalp from direct sun, which can aggravate Pitta.

Incorporate regular oil massages into your routine using warm sesame oil or coconut oil infused with herbs like bhringraj or amla. Gentle scalp massage stimulates circulation and nourishes the follicles. For dandruff, try a neem oil treatment—neem is known for its antimicrobial properties. Apply overnight and wash off with a mild shampoo the next morning.

Diet also plays a crucial part in hair health. Focus on including foods that balance Vata and Pitta, such as warm, nourishing soups, whole grains, and sweet fruits. Avoid excessively spicy, fried, or dry foods. Hydration is vital; drink plenty of water and consider herbal teas like fennel or licorice before meals to support digestion and balance Pitta.

Regularly practice yoga asanas known for promoting circulation, like Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand) and Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose), to enhance nutrient delivery to hair follicles.

Please remember, if hairfall continues at a worrying rate, or if you notice any patches of baldness, it’s essential to consult a healthcare professional who can provide further medical intervention. Ayurveda should support, not replace, essential medical care.

Hair thinning and hairfall can be stressful, often linked to an imbalance in your doshas, particularly Pitta. It sounds like your scalp condition might be contributing too. In Siddha-Ayurveda, this could be related to excess heat and dryness in the body or a weak Agni affecting the dhatus, particularly Rakta (blood) and Asthi (bones, including hair).

Firstly, Address your diet as it plays a crucial role. Incorporate cooling and nourishing foods such as cucumbers, coriander, amla (Indian gooseberry), and aloe vera juice, which help balance Pitta and nourish the hair. Hydration is crucial, so drink plenty of water and herbal teas, avoiding caffeine and alcohol which can aggravate Pitta and Vata.

For your scalp, self-massage with Ayurvedic oils like coconut or bhringraj oil can help. Massaging the scalp increases circulation, provides moisture, and helps in calming Pitta. Warm the oil slightly and gently massage your scalp before washing it after 30 minutes.

Regarding dandruff or dryness, try a paste of neem leaves and fenugreek seeds - this can be applied once or twice a week. Neem helps in removing dandruff due to its antifungal properties, and fenugreek seeds help in nourishing the scalp.

Include ashwagandha or brahmi supplements, which strengthen hair. Consult a physician before starting new supplements to ensure compatibility with your constitution.

Finally, manage stress levels through activities like yoga or meditation, Since mental stress can increase hairfall. If the hairfall continues or gets worse, it’s wise to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for a more personalized and thorough assessment.
