Yes, from an Ayurvedic perspective, the yellowing of teeth and enamel hypoplasia can be linked to dosha imbalances, especially Pitta and Kapha. Pitta imbalance can cause excess heat in the body, leading to acidity, causing enamel erosion and possibly affecting the color of your teeth. Kapha’s involvement might cause improper accumulation or retention of toxins (ama), impacting the vitality of teeth and gums.

Addressing these concerns Ayurvedically is possible with some tailored lifestyle and dietary alterations. You should focus on balancing these doshas. Firstly, incorporating a Pitta-pacifying diet could be beneficial. Include cooling foods like cucumbers, watermelon, and mint. Try to avoid spicy, sour, and overly salty foods which can aggravate Pitta. Kapha balance can be maintained by reducing intake of overly sweet and heavy foods which also promote ama.

Oral hygiene is crucial. Use Dant Dhavan, traditional Ayurvedic practices for cleaning teeth. A mixture of herbs such as neem, babool, or triphala can be used as a tooth powder - just dab your toothbrush in this mixture or use the paste to gently brush your teeth. This might help in strengthening gums and whitening teeth naturally. Oil pulling is also recommended; swishing a tablespoon of warm sesame or coconut oil in your mouth for 10-15 minutes daily before brushing, can detoxify and improve oral health.

Additionally, specific herbs such as licorice (mulethi) can be chewed for its antimicrobial properties and to prevent decay. For enamel strengthening, make sure your diet is rich in calcium; consuming sesame seeds, almonds, and dairy (if compatible with your dosha) can be recommended. Proper hydration is also necessary - sip warm water throughout day to aid digestion and prevent dryness that may affect the mouth and teeth.

Yoga practices like Sheetkari or Sheetali pranayama, which cool the body, can also be beneficial in balancing Pitta. Since personal health dynamics can vary, consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can perform a more personalized evaluation of your prakriti (constitution) is advisable for a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
