Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
Your situation involves a combination of hormonal and structural challenges. In Ayurveda, fibroids can be viewed as a Kapha imbalance, where excess tissue builds up, often influenced by stagnant or obstructed energy flow. This can be aggravated by poor digestion and stress, leading to the accumulation of toxins (ama) and blockages in the body’s channels.
Low AMH and fertility issues are often linked to Vata imbalance, especially as they pertain to reproductive tissues and hormonal functions. Vata governs movement and change, and when it is out of balance, it can lead to irregularities in the menstrual cycle and challenges in conception.
Your miscarriages may be related to both Vata and Pitta imbalances, where the body’s ability to sustain a pregnancy is compromised by heat and irregularity. The presence of fibroids adds to the complexity by physically interfering with the uterine environment.
Ayurveda views these issues as interconnected, highlighting the importance of balancing all three doshas, with particular attention to strengthening the digestive fire (agni) and reducing stress to improve overall reproductive health.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.
Please answer each question as clearly as possible:
1. How long have you been trying to conceive? 2. Have you experienced any symptoms related to your fibroids, such as pain or heavy bleeding? 3. What treatments have you tried so far for your fertility issues, including any Ayurvedic therapies? 4. Do you notice any particular triggers that worsen your symptoms, such as stress or certain foods? 5. How would you describe your digestion and energy levels on a daily basis? 6. Have you had any recent changes in your menstrual cycle or mood patterns? 7. What is your current lifestyle like in terms of diet, exercise, and stress management?
Your detailed responses will help in crafting a tailored approach to support your journey towards conception.

Namaste, Your situation — fibroids (4 cm inside and 6 cm outside), very low AMH, and history of miscarriages — indicates uterine structural factors with hormonal and tissue weakness. Since you are already planning IVF with donor eggs, the focus should be on improving uterine environment, reducing inflammation, and supporting implantation, rather than ovulation. At this stage, Ayurveda can play a supportive role to prepare the body before IVF. ⸻ Important approach Fibroids cannot be reduced very quickly in a short time, especially before IVF, but their impact can be managed by improving uterine health and reducing inflammation. Avoid very heavy, oily, processed, and hormone-disrupting foods. Maintain a light, balanced diet with good digestion. Avoid stress and ensure proper sleep, as they directly affect implantation. ⸻ Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Kanchanar Guggulu – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Ashokarishta – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily after food Shatavari Churna – 1 teaspoon, once daily with milk These are traditionally used to support uterine health, manage fibroid-related changes, and improve endometrial support. ⸻ Additional support • Gentle abhyanga (body oil massage) with sesame oil 3–4 times a week • Avoid excessive exertion • Maintain emotional calmness, as mental state plays a role in IVF success ⸻ Very important • Since IVF is planned, coordinate with your fertility specialist before starting any medicines • Some medicines may need to be stopped during the IVF cycle • Do not take multiple herbs on your own ⸻ Realistic expectation At this stage, the goal is support and optimization, not complete reversal. Many women in similar situations conceive successfully with proper preparation. ⸻ You are already taking the right step with IVF — Ayurveda can support your body to respond better. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
